“We have everything we need.”
–Leia Organa, Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The situation is dire. Lurking in the Unknown Regions, the sinister First Order is poised to sweep across the Star Wars galaxy, conquering everything in its path. Now, the Resistance is all that stands in the way of a new era of galactic domination. Launching into battle in a new generation of advanced starfighters, these brave pilots are ready to continue the fight for freedom begun by the Rebel Alliance in the tense ship-to-ship combat of X-Wing.

Rather than continue as part of the Rebel Alliance, the Resistance is becoming its own unique faction in the new edition of X-Wing, and the Resistance Conversion Kit  is the perfect place to begin building your Resistance squadrons. This conversion kit contains everything that veteran X-Wing players need to rekindle hope and bring their existing T-70 X-wing, Scavenged YT-1300 light freighter, and MG-100 StarFortress miniatures from the first edition into the game's second edition. Alternatively, new players can combine the ship cards, upgrade cards, maneuver dials, and ship tokens in this kit with first edition ship expansions to play with the full strength of the Resistance right away.

While the Resistance carries on the legacy of the Rebellion, it is more than just updated versions of classic starfighters. Most importantly, it is made up of people from across the galaxy, each committed to defending the galaxy from tyranny. In the years since the end of the Galactic Civil War, new heroes have taken their place alongside some of the saga’s most iconic characters, each of them contributing to the fight in their own way. Join us today as we take a look at the these characters and what they bring to your games of X-Wing!

swz19_a1_resistance_spread.png

Seasoned Veterans

The second Death Star may have been destroyed, but the struggles that began with the Galactic Civil War continue long past the Battle of Endor. The resurgent First Order must be thwarted if the galaxy is to remain at peace. Whether they stayed dedicated to the cause or they've been pulled back into the escalating conflict, many veterans of the Rebellion have become members of the Resistance, including some of the Star Wars saga’s most iconic characters.

swz19_a2_tfa-3p0.png

These characters might be heroes of a former era, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have anything new to contribute to the Resistance. They each feature new skills and abilities they can lend to your Resistance ships, helping your squadrons develop an identity all their own. C-3PO,  for example, has always excelled at facilitating communication between machines and their users. With the Resistance, he continues this tradition by adding both the calculate action and a red coordinate action to his ship’s action bar. But his abilities go even further than this. Whenever his ship performs either of these actions, it gains another calculate token, giving you even more flexibility in upcoming engagements.

While C-3PO continued alongside General Leia Organa in the wake of Endor, other characters eventually went their own way, only to be pulled back into the struggle between the Resistance and First Order. Ever the scoundrel, Han Solo can talk himself out of almost any situation. He can extend this knack for getting out of tight situations to whatever ship he finds himself aboard in X-Wing. Not only does Han Solo add the valuable evade action to his ship’s action bar, but his ship also gains additional evade tokens equal to the number of nearby enemy ships! With even a single enemy within range, Han's ship receives two evade tokens, well worth the stress this action would incur.

swz19_a2_daigram2.jpg
There are two enemy ships at Range 0–1, so the Scavenged YT-1300 gains two additional evade tokens thanks to Han Solo!

Han Solo is rarely seen without his faithful companion Chewbacca,  of course, and the Wookiee is ready to fight alongside the Resistance. Always loyal to his friends, Chewbacca will do whatever it takes to defend them, and he becomes even more dangerous when he sees them come under fire. Chewie recovers a charge after a friendly ship at Range 0–3 is dealt damage, and, once he has his two full charges, he can unleash a powerful attack, changing a focus to a critical hit! Chewbacca is sure to show your opponent why it’s not wise to upset a Wookiee.

Rebel Spirit

The Rebel Alliance has had a lasting impact on the galaxy, its influence reverberating long after the formation of the New Republic. Inspired by the ideals of the Rebellion, a new generation of freedom fighters has risen to protect the galaxy. Unlike the ruthless ambition displayed by members of the First Order, these young heroes know the best way to counter the threat of the First Order is to come together. Fittingly, then, the young heroes of the Resistance tend to play off each other’s strengths to create some powerful combinations.

No one exemplifies this more than the former First Order stormtrooper Finn.  He simply allows you to add a blank result to your roll while you defend or perform a primary attack. This die can be used in rerolls or modified, giving you the chance to add an extra hit or evade, but it truly comes into its own when combined with other characters’ abilities. Appropriately, Finn synergizes quite nicely with Rose Tico,  who can spend Finn's blank to acquire a lock on the enemy ship.

swz19_a2_daigram1.jpg
The TIE/fo fighter is in the Scavenged YT-1300's front arc, so Finn adds a blank result that Rose immediately spends to acquire a lock on the incoming ship!

Rose isn’t the only character Finn has developed a strong connection with, of course. He began a strong friendship with the scavenger Rey when the pair narrowly escaped Jakku in the Millennium Falcon, and it’s only fitting that Finn and Rey also form a powerful duo in X-Wing. A blossoming Force-user, Rey is a naturally good pilot. For starters, she can spend a Force charge to change a blank to an evade or a hit while attacking or defending against a ship in her front arc. Powerful on its own, this ability is a great way to add some extra punch or make an amazing escape with the blank that comes from Finn.

Rey’s Force abilities may serve her well on any ship, but she’s most comfortable flying the Millennium Falcon. Thanks to the new Rey's Millennium Falcon  title included in the Resistance Conversion Kit, she can push this iconic ship even further, performing Segnor’s Loops, boosting, and rotating the Falcon’s double turret arc while she has two or fewer stress tokens.

swz19_a2_art.png

Like the Rebellion before it, the Resistance often finds itself on the defensive, and its pilots often look for ways to make their equipment last as long as it can. Luckily, droids like R2-HA make this a bit easier. He excels at tracking enemy ships and predicting their attacks, giving you a better chance of defending yourself. With this astromech on your ship, you can spend your target lock on the attacker to reroll any of your defense dice!

Still, even with droids like R2-HA, members of the Resistance must be willing to give their lives for the cause, a characteristic exemplified by Paige Tico.  She greatly improves the efficiency of her ship by allowing it to drop a bomb or rotate its turret arc after performing a primary attack, but what's more, Paige is resilient to the end. Her ship can drop a bomb after it is destroyed, hopefully ensuring that its crew’s sacrifice was not made in vain.

"Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to.”
–Kylo Ren, Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The Empire is gone. The Star Wars galaxy has fallen into disorder. It is time for the First Order to rise and bring calm to the chaos fostered by the New Republic. But to do so, the First Order must first wipe out the loathsome Resistance. Flying into the tense space battles of X-Wing™ in modern starfighters based on Imperial designs, the pilots of the First Order are ready to display their fanatical devotion to the cause.

Although the Galactic Empire’s influence is evident, the First Order has evolved into a separate entity in the years since the Battle of Endor and this break carries over into the new edition of X-Wing. As a separate faction, the First Order brings its own complement of starfighters to X-Wing, and veteran and new players alike can use the First Order Conversion Kit  as a starting point for their First Order squadrons. This kit contains a vast array of new ship cards and tokens—including iconic pilots like Kylo Ren—along with more than 100 upgrade cards that can be combined with the TIE/fo Fighter, TIE Silencer, Special Forces TIE, and Upsilon-class Shuttle miniatures from first edition expansions to create lethal First Order squadrons as soon as this kit is released in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The First Order may fly newer versions of Imperial ships into battle, but this isn’t the only connection it shares with the Empire. Many members of the First Order’s chain of command can trace their roots directly to members of Empire and this new generation is eager to put their ruthless ambition to use in X-Wing. Today, we’ll take a look at how this ambition has been translated into the First Order’s exclusive upgrade cards!

swz18_a1_first-order_spread.png

No Surrender

Like their Imperial predecessors, inflicting fear in their enemies is just as important to First Order squadrons as the firepower of their starfighters. Swarms of imposing TIE/fo fighters are certainly one method of intimidating opponents, but that’s just one of many options. In fact, much of the First Order’s strategy centers on disrupting the normal flow of the game and keeping opposing pilots off guard. This starts with the First Order’s officers, whose mere presence aboard shuttles and other transports is often enough to push the enemy off their game.

swz18_captain-phasma_a2.png

Known for her gleaming chrome armor, Captain Phasma  is one such example. Demanding ultimate discipline and loyalty out of the troops under her command, she makes any ship more imposing. So imposing, in fact, that each enemy ship at Range 0–1 to her ship that is not already stressed gains a stress token at the end of the Engagement Phase. This ability is certainly an effective way of making these ships more predictable in the immediate future, but it could be doubly so if Petty Officer Thanisson is also in play. As long as you catch the enemy ship in your front arc, he can force this ship to take an additional stress token, severely limiting its options.

Obviously, the First Order prefers being confrontational in its space battles, and their pilots and officers are not afraid to hinder their own ships as long as it means hurting the enemy even more. This is most evident with General Hux.  With the ability to coordinate with two additional ships while taking the Coordinate action, Hux can prepare a large swath of your squadron for a major assault. Doing so will cause every ship involved to gain a stress token, of course, but this is a small price to pay if you can inflict some heavy damage on the ensuing attack.

swz18_diagram2_a2.jpg
While he's aboard the Upsilon-class shuttle piloted by Major Stridan, General Hux can coordinate with the three TIE/fo fighters at range 3!

While other First Order ships are charging into the fight, General Hux is too valuable to be exposed to much enemy fire. Normally, he would have to stay within Range 1–2 to coordinate with his ships. But if Major Stridan is acting as his personal pilot, you can stay at a more comfortable distance. With Major Stridan as your pilot, you can treat friendly ships at Range 2–3 as being at Range 0 or Range 1 while coordinating and resolving effects from his upgrades, giving General Hux a bit more room to use his ability while remaining at a comfortable distance from the action.

Trained officers like General Hux and Captain Phasma certainly keep their subordinates in line, but the First Order's power does not come from military might alone. Some of its most powerful members are disciples of the dark side of the Force and can fuel their abilities by tapping into their own raw aggression. Confronting the enemy is even easier if you know where your opponent is going to move. While this may be impossible for lesser beings, Supreme Leader Snoke can use the Force to gaze into the future during the Systems Phase and spend Force charges to flip an enemy ship’s dial faceup for every charge spent. On his own, Snoke can only flip a single dial, but if he’s joined by his apprentice Kylo Ren,  his ship will have an additional charge to spend, giving you foresight into the movements of two enemy ships.

Beyond their many leaders determined to elimate the Resistance at any cost, even the First Order’s technology is designed to relentlessly pursue their enemies from the very beginning of a game. A ship with Hyperspace Tracking Data,  for example, can use it to enter the battle more prepared than their opponent. With this data in hand, a ship can be placed exactly when you want it. This placement is especially crucial, as each friendly ship at Range 0–2 of the ship carrying the Hyperspace Tracking Data is assigned either a focus or an evade token once Setup is complete!

swz18_diagram1_a2.jpg
After being placed at iniative 0 with Hyperspace Tracking Data, Lieutenant Dormitz allows the four Episilon Squadron Cadets to be placed at Range 2 of herself, ready to launch an attack on the Resistance forces!

These tokens might not seem very useful with enemy ships all the way on the other side of the play area, but this changes completely if Lieutenant Dormitz  is the one equipped with Hyperspace Tracking Data. If you place her first, the rest of your ships can be placed anywhere in the play area within Range 0–2 of her Upsilon-class shuttle, including far enough into the play area to swoop in on your opponent’s ships and launch a vicious attack in the very first round.

“The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun the Clone War has.”
–Yoda, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic. The Separatist Alliance has driven a spike into the heart of the galaxy, splintering the once-unified worlds with chaos, tyranny, and fear. But even in this age of uncertainty and disunion, legendary Jedi Knights band together and fight to preserve the Republic. Soon, you can choose a side and experience a new era of space combat. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce a new wave of expansions for X-Wing!

Order your own copy of the Wave III expansions for X-Wing at your local retailer or online through our website today!
ffg_ordernow_v2.png

These expansions give you the chance to enter this spreading conflict and command endless legions of droid fighters or valiantly lead powerful Jedi Knights and dedicated clone pilots into battle. As you do, you’ll experience new twists to the X-Wing formula, outfit your ships with new upgrades, and immerse yourself in the Clone Wars like never before. In addition to introducing the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance as brand-new factions to X-Wing, this wave also brings the opportunity to round out your Scum and Villainy and Galactic Empire squadrons with updated versions of two classic starfighters.

Read on for a look into what each of these expansions brings to your games of X-Wing!

swz29_anc_ship-image.png

Servants of Strife Squadron Pack

The corporate entities that form the bulk of the Separatist Alliance have untold resources at their disposal. As the Clone Wars escalate, then, it is only natural that they throw this weight into developing advanced starfighter technology that can help them put the Republic on the defensive. The result of this research is a unique blend of cheap but deadly droid starfighters and heavily armed ships controlled by "more traditional" organic pilots.

swz29_spread.png

Both of these design philosophies are represented in the Servants of Strife Squadron Pack. Within this expansion, you’ll find both a heavily armed Belbullab-22 starfighter and two Vulture-class droid fighters (painted in General Grievous's colors) to begin building your Separatist Alliance squadrons. Accompanying these ships is a full suite of 48 upgrade cards that reflect the Separatists’ emphasis on groups of networked droid fighters working as one. For example, adding a Tactical Relay upgrade such as Kraken to your squadron gives your droids even more power to make use of their calculate tokens. This massive array of upgrade cards, including reprints of many common neutral upgrade cards, also means that Servants of Strife can be combined with the X-Wing Core Set to make the perfect start, especially if you're just getting into the game and want to start flying with the Separatists.

We’ll take a look at everything included in the Servants of Strife Squadron Pack, including all the Seperatist-exclusive upgrade cards, in a future preview!

swz30_anc_ship-image.png

Sith Infiltrator Expansion

The Sith operate in the shadows. As they unfold their dark machinations across the galaxy, they need a ship that matches their nefarious purposes. Casting a menacing shadow as it cuts across the skies, the Sith Infiltrator is the perfect choice to carry the agents of Darth Sidious on their dark missions across the galaxy.

swz30_spread.png

With the Sith Infiltrator Expansion Pack, you can use the experimental cloaking device, devastating firepower, and advanced systems of one of these ships to deliver vicious surgical strikes before vanishing into the void. In addition to the finely detailed and fully painted Sith Infiltrator miniature, you’ll find a collection of five ship cards, including Darth Maul himself, twenty upgrade cards that help you fully utilize the ship’s systems, and all the tokens and maneuver dials you need to launch your own secret missions.

We’ll look at everything included in the Sith Infiltrator Expansion Pack, including all of its pilots, in a future preview!

swz31_anc_ship-image.png

Vulture-class Droid Fighter Expansion

The Separatist Navy may contain many capable organic pilots, but the vast majority is made up of Vulture-class droid fighters. These starfighters form the backbone of the Separatist forces and are emblematic of its strategy: weak in isolation, but overwhelming in numbers. A sufficiently vast swarm of networked attackers form a cunning, sinister intelligence that can defeat even wise and powerful Jedi pilots.

swz31_spread.png

The Vulture-class Droid Fighter Expansion Pack contains everything you need to begin building your own squadron of linked droid starfighters—most importantly, a beautifully pre-painted Vulture-class droid fighter miniature. Each of the five droid pilots included in this pack can contribute to your Separatist swarm in their own way, but they become even more deadly when using their careful calculations to launch Energy-Shell Charges at enemy ships.

We’ll take a glimpse at everything included in the Vulture-class Droid Fighter Expansion Pack, including all the ways these ships can use calculate tokens, in a future preview!

swz32_anc_ship-image.png

Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack

Leading the fight against the Separatist war machine are none other than the Jedi Knights. They enter the fight at the controls of the Delta-7 Aethersprite, a starfighter that allows them to use their Force-enhanced reflexes to the fullest. Behind them, clone pilots take to the skies in V-19 Torrents, covering their Jedi Generals with coordinated fire, tight formation flying, and salvos of missiles.

swz32_spread.png

With the Jedi taking the lead, the Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack gives you the chance to further explore the potential of the Force in your X-Wing squadrons. In addition to  one Delta-7 Aethersprite (painted in Obi-Wan Kenobi's colors) and two V-19 Torrent Starfighter miniatures, this expansion contains new Force upgrade cards that unlock even more potential in your Force-sensitive pilots. For example, they could exhibit Brilliant Evasion to escape a seemingly impossible situation unscathed. And of course, like Servants of Strife, the Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack makes the perfect introduction to the game with a wealth of upgrade cards, including reprints of many common neutral upgrade cards. If you're interested in starting to fly alongside the Galactic Republic, this squadron pack is the perfect second purchase after your X-Wing Core Set!

We’ll take a look at everything included in the Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack, including all the upgrade cards, in a future preview!

swz33_anc_ship-image.png

ARC-170 Starfighter Expansion

Starfighters piloted by powerful Jedi are certainly a boon to the Republic, but the lightly armed Delta-7 Aethersprite is still a delicate starfighter that can’t handle the brunt of enemy fire. The ARC-170 starfighter, on the other hand, can smash through foes that might repel the Republic’s more lightly armed ships. Equipped with torpedoes and a rear gunner, even the most intelligent Separatist droids will find it difficult to approach this intimidating craft.

swz33_spread.png

With the ARC-170 Starfighter Expansion Pack, you can bring a single ARC-170 starfighter to your X-Wing battles. Primed for battle, clone pilots like "Sinker" are ready to do whatever it takes to support their squadron, whether that means defending the flanks of a formation or giving support to a Jedi General.

We’ll take a look inside the ARC-170 Starfighter Expansion Pack, including all the ship cards, in a future preview!

swz34_anc_ship-image.png

Delta-7 Aethersprite Expansion

Jedi Knights travel far across the galaxy in their mission to uphold justice. Rather than cross the gulfs between the stars and their destination in any ship, they choose one specifically designed to augment their considerable abilities. Equipped with an astromech for navigation, the Delta-7 Aethersprite is lightly armed but highly maneuverable, its fine-tuned controls allowing a Force-sensitive pilot to fly it with unmatched precision.

swz34_spread.png

With five ship cards—including four unique pilots—the Delta-7 Aethersprite Expansion Pack adds even more Jedi for you to include in your Galactic Republic squadrons, including the legendary Anakin Skywalker. Though the Delta-7 is specifically designed to work with its pilot’s enhanced reflexes, any Jedi would still welcome the aid of the Calibrated Laser Targeting modification to add even more damage potential to their primary attacks. Furthermore, the miniature included in this expansion features an alternate paint scheme to the ships included in the Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack, here evoking the starfighter flown by none other than Anakin Skywalker.

We’ll take a look at everything included in the Delta-7 Aethersprite Expansion Pack, including all of its upgrade cards, in a future preview!

swz_w3_anc_dials.png

Upgraded Controls

When these expansion are released in the first quarter of 2019, the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance will enter X-Wing as distinct factions with their own options for building your own unique squadrons. You can further indicate the uniqueness of your squadron with the Galactic Republic Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit and the Separatist Alliance Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit.

During every game of X-Wing, you will secretly select the maneuvers for your ships on cardboard maneuver dials. In each of these maneuver dial upgrade kits, you’ll find three plastic protectors that enclose these maneuver dials in a secure housing, enhancing the aesthetics of your squadron and declaring your allegiance to the Republic or your independence from it. Not only does every dial clearly indicate the faction of your choice, they also include a space on the back to insert one of the dial ID tokens included in these expansions. Each dial ID token displays the silhouette of the corresponding ship, making it even easier to differentiate between your ships.

swz37_anc_ship-image.png

Z-95-AF4 Headhunter Expansion

Widely produced across the galaxy, the reliable, easy-to-acquire Z-95-AF4 Headhunter has become integral to numerous criminal cartel fleets—from large operations like Black Sun to small-time raiders like the Binayre Pirates. When outfitted with missiles and other illicit technologies, a single Z-95-AF4 can be a danger, but a swarm can be devastating to anyone unprepared to face it.

swz35_spread.png

Now, you have the chance to continue growing your Scum and Villainy squadrons. The Z-95-AF4 Headhunter Expansion Pack includes everything you need to add one Z-95-AF4 Headhunter ship to your squadron, including a miniature with a stunning new paint scheme, four ship cards, five upgrade cards, and a handful of tokens. All the ship and upgrade cards included in this expansion pack are also included in the Scum and Villainy Conversion Kit!

swz38_anc_ship-image.png

TIE/sk Striker Expansion

Screaming through the atmosphere on nimble ailerons, the TIE/sk striker is a unique starfighter designed to excel at both air and space assaults. Its atmospheric capabilities give it unique and flexible movement patterns that can surprise even veteran opponents, as its heavy firepower lets it wear down nearly any foe.

swz38_spread.png

With the TIE/sk Striker Expansion Pack, you have a new option for rounding out your Imperial squadrons. In addition to the fully assembled, pre-painted TIE/sk striker miniature, five pilots stand ready to swoop into battle and protect the Empire, while five upgrade cards give you the chance to further customize your squadron. In addition to this expansion pack, the ship and upgrade cards in this expansion can also be found in the Galactic Empire Conversion Kit.

The War Has Begun

The battles of X-Wing are entering a new era of the Star Wars saga as the Separatist Alliance threatens the sovereignty of the Galactic Republic. With these expansions, you have everything you need to launch your squadrons into the Clone Wars.

Vague 4 : Expand Your Operations

swz_w4_boxes2.png

“Always remember: your focus determines your reality.”
–Qui-Gon Jinn, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

From the Clone Wars to the conflict between the Resistance and the First Order, the space battles of X-Wing now encompass every era of the Star Wars saga. Whether you're flying for the Separatist Alliance or the Galactic Empire, the tides of all these conflicts could turn on the actions of single starfighter pilot. Now, new fighters are on the way to bolster the squadrons of those caught up in these monumental clashes.

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce a new wave of nine expansions for X-Wing!

Placing an emphasis on heavily-armed starfighters, this wave shakes up the established strategies for each of the included factions, giving you more options than ever for producing explosive results. While you pursue new strategies for the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, and First Order with starfighters returning from the game’s first edition, this wave also introduces never-before-seen ships and upgrades for the Galactic Republic, Separatist Alliance, and Resistance, taking your squadrons in bold new directions.

swz40_ship-art.png

Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter Expansion

Sleek and agile, the Naboo Royal N-1 is well-suited to its role as a diplomatic escort for that planet’s ambassadors. Beneath the gleaming chromium of its elegant spaceframe are advanced Nubian engines further customized by the Theed Palace Engineering Corps, making the N-1 one of the fastest starfighters of its time.

swz40_spread.png

When pressed into combat, N-1 starfighters are known to use this great speed as a defensive strategy—the ship’s Full Throttle ability gives them the option to perform an evade action after fully executing a speed 3–5 maneuver. But the token gained from this action could just as easily be used during an attack if you have R2-C4 aboard.

In addition to the beautifully detailed and pre-painted Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter miniature, this expansion contains six ship cards, seven upgrade cards that give you greater control over its prodigious speed, and the tokens and maneuver dial you need to defend Naboo or any other planet.

swz41_ship-art.png

Hyena-Class Droid Bomber Expansion Pack

Baktoid Armor Workshop’s Hyena-class droid bomber is a wartime evolution of the Trade Federation’s Vulture-class droid fighter. Carrying an extensive payload of experimental and deadly ordnance provided by the Techno Union, a Hyena is a nasty surprise to any Republic loyalist who dismisses the danger posed by “mere” droids.

swz41_spread.png

Compatible with the Vulture swarm tactics, Hyena-class bombers add lethal new layers to Separatist squadrons. With access to a variety of deadly devices, missiles, and torpedoes, there’s no telling where a Bombardment Drone will strike next. The Hyena-class Droid Bomber Expansion Pack contains everything you need to supplement your swarm of interlinked droids, including six ship cards and ten upgrade cards.

swz45_ship-art.png

Resistance Transport Expansion Pack

Often pressed to put their skills and technical knowledge to good use in the fight against the First Order, many members of the Resistance pull double duty as transport pilots. The Resistance transport is a custom-built shuttle, used by the Resistance as a troop carrier and gunship. What's more, its modular design means the vessel's cockpit pod can be flown independently on missions that don’t require heavy weaponry or transport capacity.

swz45_spread.png

With the Resistance Transport Expansion Pack, you can add this versatile ship to your squadrons in one of two forms. As a transport, the ship is perfect for carrying high-ranking Resistance officers into battle to support their more nimble fighters. The Transport Pod, on the other hand, may lack the space for more than one crew member or additional weaponry, but makes up for it with additional agility and a lower cost.

swz39_ship-art.png

Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack

One of the most iconic ships in the Star Wars galaxy, the Millennium Falcon may look like a YT-1300 Light Freighter, but Han Solo and Chewbacca’s modifications have turned it into anything but. Now, these scruffy-looking smugglers turn their efforts to defeating the Galactic Empire alongside the heroes of the Rebellion.

swz39_spread.png

With the Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack, you can add a generic YT-1300 Light Freighter to your Rebel Alliance squadrons, or you can choose to pilot the legendary Millennium Falcon itself. In addition to a Modified YT-1300 Light Freighter ship miniature featuring a blue engine glow, this expansion also contains four YT-1300 ship cards identical to those found in the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit, two new Quick Build cards, and reprints of fourteen essential upgrade cards that give you the chance to make your own modifications.

swz42_ship-art.png

A/SF-01 B-Wing Expansion Pack

Incorporating a revolutionary gyrostabilization system, the A/SF-01 B-wing is dangerous to fly and difficult to master. In the right hands, however, the B-wing’s formidable weapons can be used to devasting effect, earning it a reputation as the premier assault fighter of the Rebel Alliance.

swz42_spread.png

The A/SF-01 B-Wing Expansion Pack contains everything you need to add one of these powerful fighters to your Rebel squadrons, including a fully re-sculpted A/SF-01 B-wing ship miniature—now featuring folding wings, a spinning cockpit, and a body that can rotate on the peg. Additionally, you'll find four ship cards, identical to the A/SF-01 ship cards found in the Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit. Finally, you’ll also find reprints of eight upgrade cards and two new Quick Build cards that provide plenty of options for outfitting your B-wing for battle.

swz43_ship-art.png

VT-49 Decimator Expansion Pack

A durable vessel capable of independent patrols, the VT-49 Decimator’s size and power blurred the line between shuttle and corvette—but the same qualities that endeared it to up-and-coming Imperial officers also made it useful to agents of the Emperor, under whom failure was not an option.

swz43_spread.png

With the VT-49 Decimator Expansion Pack, you can bring a single VT-49 Decimator to your Galactic Empire squadrons. Additionally, you’ll also find three ship cards matching the VT-49 Decimator ship cards from the Galactic Empire Conversion Kit, as well as a selection of thirteen reprinted upgrade cards, giving you the freedom to add vital crew and deadly devices to your ship. Finally, two Quick Build cards let you get your Decimator in the fight right away with predefined combinations of ship and upgrade cards.

swz27_ship-art.png

TIE/vn Silencer Expansion Pack

The TIE/vn silencer is the most elite starfighter developed for the First Order by Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems. Built in the depths of the Unknown Regions with the technologies that once made the TIE defender an unprecedented threat, this dreaded craft can threaten any Resistance ship—provided the pilot can handle its power and speed.

swz27_spread.png

Featuring a beautifully re-sculpted miniature, the TIE/vn Silencer Expansion Pack gives you everything you need to wield one of these high-tech fighters in your First Order squadrons. In addition to six ship cards identical to those found in the First Order Conversion Kit, you’ll also find reprints of five upgrade cards tailored to the silencer’s unique capabilities, as well as two Quick Build cards inviting you to jump into action right away.

swz44_ship-art.png

TIE/sf Fighter Expansion Pack

Development of the TIE/sf fighter required Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems to pioneer new energy-cell technology to power the advanced systems demanded by the First Order Special Forces. The resulting starfighter boasts a versatile array of weapons, shields, and sensors, suitable for any situation.

swz44_spread.png

Equipped with a Heavy Weapon Turret that can be rotated between its front and rear arcs, the TIE/sf is a threat from multiple angles. When outfitted with a set of Afterburners,  it can combine this turret with deadly speed to get in the perfect position to launch an attack. On top of the TIE/sf miniature and Afterburners upgrade card, this expansion also contains four TIE/sf ship cards identical to those in the First Order Conversion Kit, seven upgrade cards, and two new Quick Build cards.

swz46_box_left.png

Deluxe Movement Tools and Range Ruler

Every game of X-Wing locks you in a tense duel for space superiority, where every move you make could bring you one step closer to victory or push you toward defeat. Every round, you’ll need to carefully plot a course for each of your ships, trying to anticipate enemy movement and bring opposing ships in range to open fire. Now you can upgrade every move you make with the Deluxe Movement Tools and Range Ruler.

swz_tools-spread.jpg

This pack contains premium plastic maneuver templates and a range ruler to upgrade the corresponding components from your X-Wing Core Set. In addition to the eleven movement templates, you’ll also find a range ruler base and four range ruler segments that can be used individually or combined to make your measurements quick and precise.

Vague 5 : Fate of the Galaxy (Destin de la galaxie)

swz_w5_boxes.png

“I’ve been looking forward to this.”
–Count Dooku, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

Wise Jedi and dedicated clones teaming up against cold, mechanical droid starfighters. Brave Rebels flying against the might of the Empire. A group of pirates in the Outer Rim making a bold raid on an Imperial convoy. The intense space battles of X-Wing are varied and can take you to any era of the Star Wars saga. Now, new ships are preparing to make the jump into whatever war you find yourself.

Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce a new wave of six expansions for X-Wing!

Whether your strategy relies on fast starfighters nimbly outmaneuvering their opponents or heavy ships that can cover any angle, the ships and upgrades you find in this wave unlock deep new options for their factions. As you explore even more of the Clone Wars with new ships for the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance, this wave also brings more depth to the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, and Scum and Villainy factions, adding new layers to the Hyperspace format.

swz47_ship-art.png

Nantex-class Starfighter Expansion Pack

Dancing nimbly on invisible threads, the Nantex-class starfighter uses an advanced tractor array to perform impossible maneuvers and guide its turret-mounted laser cannon with exceptional precision. Swarms of these agile fighters are the first line of defense for the Separatist stronghold of Geonosis.

swz47_spread.png

In the space battles of X-Wing, expert Nantex-class starfighter pilots make use of tractor tokens to manipulate enemies and their own ships. Not only can they use their ship’s Pinpoint Tractor Array to snap their turrets in place for quick attacks, they are also known to Ensnare enemy ships in their tractor fields, pulling them into the line of fire or obstacles.

Within this expansion, you’ll find six pilots ready to fly the beautifully detailed and pre-painted Nantex-class starfighter miniature. Six upgrade cards give these pilots even more control over their ship, while two Quick Build cards offer useful combinations of pilots and upgrades to get you flying as soon as possible. We’ll take a full look at everything included in the Nantex-class Starfighter Expansion Pack in a future preview!

swz48_ship-art.png

BTL-B Y-Wing Expansion Pack

Designed with an armored hull for extra durability and a bubble turret to keep enemies at bay, the Republic’s BTL-B Y-wing can run escort missions or lead an attack. Piloted by legendary Jedi and dedicated clone troopers alike, this fearsome bomber performs reliably over any battlefield.

swz48_spread.png

The BTL-B Y-wing fills a vital role in Republic squadrons with its ability to carry a number of devices—including some experimental technology—into battle. Although it moves at a lumbering pace, any Shadow Squadron Veteran can tell you that the BTL-B’s Plated Hull keeps it flying under the heaviest of fire.

The BTL-B Y-Wing Expansion Pack contains everything you need to add one of these formidable ships to your Galactic Republic Squadrons, including a BTL-B Y-wing miniature, eight ship cards, ten upgrade cards, and four Quick Build cards. We’ll take a look at everything included in this expansion—including all its ship cards—in a future preview!

swz49_ship-art.png

Ghost Expansion Pack

The durable VCX-100 light freighter and nimble Sheathipede-class shuttle can fight as a docked pair or split up to attack from multiple angles. When helmed by heroes like Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, and Ezra Bridger, these ships can be some of the greatest assets of the Rebellion.

swz49_spread.png

Working with the Phoenix Cell, these heroes were some of the first to join the fight against the Galactic Empire. In addition to using the Ghost crew in a variety of roles, the VCX-100 platform invites customizability, letting you outfit it with advanced systems, turrets, torpedoes, and more.

You’ll find both a VCX-100 light freighter miniature and a Sheathipede-class shuttle miniature that can physically dock with it in this expansion, giving you the freedom to fly them separately or as a powerful combined force. Alongside these miniatures, new players will also find reprints of eight ship cards—four for the VCX-100 and four for the Sheathipede-class shuttle—as well as sixteen upgrade cards, including your first chance to pair Ezra Bridger and the nefarious Maul in the Hyperspace format. Finally, four Quick Build cards help get you into the battle right away.

swz50_ship-art.png

Inquisitors' TIE Expansion Pack

An experimental craft reserved for elite agents of the Empire such as the dreaded Inquisitors, the TIE Advanced v1 has numerous cutting-edge features that skilled pilots can leverage to deadly effect. The craft’s high-precision thrusters and flexible controls let its pilots tirelessly pursue their prey across the galaxy.

swz50_spread.png

A groundbreaking starfighter in its own right, this ship becomes even more deadly in the hands of Force-sensitive pilots like the Grand Inquisitor  or the Seventh Sister. When paired with a set of Afterburners , these pilots have unprecedented control over these fearsome starfighters.

This expansion pack includes everything you need to add one TIE Advanced v1 ship to your Imperial squadrons, including reprints of four ship cards and five upgrade cards for the benefit of new players, as well as two Quick Build cards to get you off the ground even faster.

swz51_ship-art.png

Punishing One Expansion Pack

Built for long-distance reconnaissance and plotting new hyperspace routes, the lightly armed JumpMaster 5000 is often extensively retrofitted with custom upgrades. The vengeful bounty hunter Dengar , for example, takes advantage of the ship’s nimble turret and potent engines to great effect.

swz51_spread.png

His personal JumpMaster 5000, the Punishing One, can keep pace with even the most desperate fugitives, helping him earn a reputation as one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. Now, you can track your targets to the farthest corners of the galaxy in this infamous ship.

Within the Punishing One Expansion Pack, you’ll find everything you need to add one JumpMaster 5000 to your Scum and Villainy squadrons. Reprints of three pilots join Dengar in the pursuit of profit while twelve reprinted upgrade cards give new players plenty of options for putting a personal touch on their ships. Finally, two Quick Build cards offer useful combinations of pilots and upgrades to maximize your JumpMaster 5000’s effectiveness.

swz52_ship-art.png

M3-A Interceptor Expansion Pack

In the Outer Rim, justice is often decided through superior firepower. The M3-A Interceptor is a light, maneuverable craft favored by cartels and syndicates, thanks to the modular hardpoint that lets it equip destructive torpedoes, powerful cannons, and other weapons to threaten much larger vessels.

swz52_spread.png

In fact, some of the Outer Rim’s most infamous crime lords, including Genesis Red , have flown into battle at the controls of the M3-A Interceptor. The ships were perhaps most famously used by Car’das smugglers to defeat the Black Sun ace Talonbane Cobra during the Battle of Tansarii Point Station, earning it much respect throughout the sector.

This expansion contains everything you need to supplement your Scum and Villainy squadrons with one of these inexpensive and highly customizable fighters. In addition to an M3-A Interceptor ship miniature featuring a striking black and gold Black Sun paint scheme, new players will also find eight reprinted ship cards—including six limited pilots—as well as reprints of five valuable upgrades and four Quick Build cards that help you jump into battle right away.

Prepare for Battle

No matter where the battles of X-Wing take you, there are always new strategies to explore and new foes to face. Choose your pilots, outfit your ships, and launch into new battles!

Look for the fifth wave of X-Wing expansions at your local retailer in the third quarter of 2019.

A Larger World

Announcing the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion for X-Wing

#XWing

swz57_box_left.png

"You've taken your first step into a larger world."
–Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: A New Hope

Whether fought between the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance, the Resistance and the First Order, or the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, the Star Wars saga is defined by massive space battles that pit groups of heavily-armed warships and dozens of smaller starfighters against one another. Soon, you’ll have the chance to enter these battles and test your mettle in some of the most intense and chaotic space battles in the Star Wars galaxy.

Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion for Star Wars™: X-Wing! Epic Battles introduces a totally new way to play X-Wing, inviting two to eight players to engage in epic multiplayer battles as they command massive fleets in large-scale games that evoke iconic Star Wars scenes.

Featuring eleven cinematic scenarios—from team games to chaotic, eight-player, free-for-all battles—Epic Battles broadens the possibilities of X-Wing, creating an exciting new experience for players of all skill levels. In addition to the scenarios and rules for playing with more than two players, Epic Battles also introduces wings, an exciting new way for players to control multiple ships in formation using only a single maneuver dial. Wings work particularly well when flying in conjunction with huge ships, the largest class of ships available in X-Wing. For more information on adding huge ships to your fleets, click here

No matter if you’re going head-to-head with a single opponent or coordinating your attacks with a teammate, the new game modes you find in Epic Battles create an exciting new X-Wing experience. Read on for more of what to expect in the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion!

swz57_spread.png

Stay on Target

In the white-knuckle space battles of X-Wing, the only thing a pilot can rely on is their wingmates. When flying together, pilots can cover each other with valuable fire support and, if your squadron includes limited pilots, their abilities can synergize to benefit the entire squadron. Now, Epic Battles lets you use wings to truly harness the power of groups of starfighters flying in formation.

Moving together using a single dial, wings let you easily navigate groups of three to six ships through the chaos of battle and use them as a combined force to complete your objectives. Within the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion, you’ll find everything you need to form complete wings of starfighters, including two full-size wing tools, two mini wing tools, and a corner wing tool, as well as eight wing upgrade cards, seven wing Quick Build Cards, and twenty-four wing ID cards to easily track every ship in your wings.

swz57_diagram_1.jpg
The full-size wing tool makes it easy to arrange your ships in formation!

No matter how many wings you choose to fly, each wing is commanded by one wing leader, who executes maneuvers normally while their wingmates form up around them. Each ship in the wing has a specific position in the formation and the five wing tools found in Epic Battles help to quickly arrange your ships. To arrange ships around a full-size wing tool, for example, you'll simply align each ship’s center line with the corresponding line on the tool.

Wings not only make flying in formation easier, they also speed up gameplay considerably, accelerating resolution even when there are many ships in play. But wings also change the makeup of your squadrons, granting special abilities. If you choose to make a TIE Advanced x1 or TIE Advanced v1 pilot an Agent of the Empire, for example, they can be accompanied by a complement of TIE/ln fighters that can put themselves in harm’s way to defend their leader.

swz57_diagram_2.jpg
When flying as a wing, the wing leader executes maneuvers normally and their wingmates form around them!

New Battles

Wings of starfighters are usually just one part of larger battles and Epic Battles expands the scale of X-Wing to accommodate these groups of fighters. In addition to the tools you need to form and fly wings, this expansion also features eleven unique scenarios and all the components you need to play them.

From taking desperate defensive actions as friendly transports escape to daring assaults on enemy fortifications, each scenario provides a new way to play X-Wing. While many of these scenarios see two players facing off in tense head-to-head combat, others bring in more players for team battles or epic free-for-alls between three or more players.

swz57_diagram_3.jpg
In the Intel Pickup scenario, two to four players deploy their ships to collect data from satellites!

In Intel Pickup, for example, two to four players compete for control of satellites that have been gathering key hyperlane data. Eager to seize this information, several factions have appeared to claim the satellites as their own. During this game, players must contend with enemy ships while trying to secure the data from five satellites placed around the board.

The scenarios you find in Epic Battles don't just add a cinematic feel to your games. Many allow you to exceed the squad-building restrictions placed on other games of X-Wing, giving you the chance to build massive 500-point or 20-threat squadrons. As such, these engagements are a natural fit for huge ships, such as the Raider-class corvette and the C-ROC cruiser. While they are not required for the Epic game mode, these massive vessels give you powerful new options for you fleets, allowing you to strike at long range with devastating turbolasers, command smaller fighters, and disrupt enemy battle plans with electronic warfare. For more information about the return of huge ships to X-Wing, click here!

We’ll take a closer look at specific scenarios included in the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion in future previews and livestreams!

Huge Ships Are Coming to X-Wing

#XWing

swz_epic_boxes.png

"To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art."
–Grand Admiral Thrawn, Star Wars: Rebels

As T-65 X-wings and TIE/ln fighters engage in frantic ship-to-ship combat, turbolasers from massive warships flash across the darkness of space, pummeling their targets. Soon, you’ll be able to launch your squadrons into bigger battles, coordinating your plan of attack between imposing warships and swift starfighters. Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce three expansions for Star Wars™: X-Wing:

These expansions put devastating new options for your starfighter squadrons at your fingertips, letting you conduct deadly electronic warfare and unleash barrages of powerful turbolaser or ion cannon fire as you bring the full weight of the largest X-Wing ship class to bear against your opponents. The largest ships available in X-Wing, huge ships can be used during casual games of X-Wing, and they're also great when used in conjunction with the Epic Battles Multiplayer Expansion. For more information on what that expansion adds to your games, click here!

Within the Huge Ship Conversion Kit, veteran X-Wing players will find all the components they need to upgrade their CR-90 Corellian corvette, C-ROC cruiser, Gozanti-class cruiser, GR-75 medium transport, and Raider-class corvette ships to the second edition, including cards to field each huge ship in two of X-Wing’s seven factions.

Meanwhile, the Tantive IV Expansion Pack and C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack invite new and veteran players alike to harness the might of these massive craft and utilize a variety of new upgrades only available for huge ships. Look for these expansions at your local retailer early in the fourth quarter of 2019, with the Raider-class corvette following soon after, and read on for more information about what huge ships bring to your games of X-Wing!

swz_photo_1.jpg

Huge Ship Conversion Kit

In the largest Star Wars space battles, huge vessels launch volleys of devastating weaponry as starfighters nimbly avoid their point defenses, looking for any advantage they can find. With the Huge Ship Conversion Kit and copies of huge ship expansions from the game's first edition, you can enter these epic battles, taking command of massive warships and small starfighters alike.

This conversion kit contains everything you need to incorporate every huge ship released in the game’s first edition into your squadrons, including ship cards, tokens, and maneuver dials. Many of these ships saw service in multiple conflicts, of course, and this kit also includes entirely new components that allow you fly them in new factions, ensuring you can command a huge ship no matter what era of the Star Wars saga your squadron hails from.

swz53_spread.png

Now, the CR90 corvette can be flown by the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Republic; the GR-75 medium transport can be used by the Rebel Alliance or the Resistance; the Raider-class corvette and the Gozanti-class cruiser can fight for the Galactic Empire or the First Order; and the C-ROC cruiser can fly for the Separatist Alliance or Scum and Villainy.

But commanding huge ships goes far beyond the faction you play. Huge ships alter your entire strategy and a selection of 82 upgrade cards invite you to customize your huge ships, outfitting them with Commands, Teams, Cargo, and potent Hardpoints that grant additional attacks. Finally, while each huge ship has its own unique capabilities and unique roles within your squadron, like small ships, they all use the same set of tools for basic functions such as movement. This kit also contains a plastic huge ship maneuver tool, a huge ship range ruler, two huge ship resource trackers, and a huge ship damage deck that can be used with any huge ship!

swz55_ship_art.png

Tantive IV Expansion Pack

With its powerful broadside batteries and advanced command capabilities, the CR90 Corellian corvette has served as the cornerstone of strike forces since the days of the old Republic. Now, these vessels are among the Rebellion’s most valuable warships, slipping Imperial blockades and delivering the decisive blow in space engagements.

The Tantive IV Expansion Pack makes one of these swift ships available to commanders from both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Republic. Once in action, the CR90 can rapidly respond to incursions across the galaxy, using sophisticated sensors to acquire locks and fire on the enemy from great distances.

swz55_spread.png

Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to add one CR90 Corellian corvette ship to your Rebel Alliance or Galactic Republic squadron, including ship cards, tokens and maneuver dials. Finally, this expansion also includes the components you need to fly this or any other huge ship in battle, including a huge ship maneuver tool and a huge ship damage deck.

swz56_ship_art.png

C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack

The C-ROC cruiser is the heaviest vessel available to many criminal operations, cartels, and syndicates in the Outer Rim, capable of carrying massive weapons batteries and unique dirty tricks that keep it one step ahead of the law. Whether it's hauling illicit cargo or marauding the hyperlanes in search of easy targets, the C-ROC is a flexible and dangerous craft.

Despite its large size, the C-ROC cruiser’s overdrive burners make it a surprisingly elusive ship, capable of avoiding incoming fire. Many criminal operations take advantage of this elusiveness to move massive amounts of illicit materials under the nose of local authorities. During the Clone Wars, the Separatist Alliance would often make use of unsavory contacts such as these—including corsairs and criminal cartels—in its fight against the Galactic Republic.

swz56_spread.png

The C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack contains everything both Scum and Villainy and Separatist Alliance players need to incorporate one of these armed transports to their squadrons. A selection of ship cards, tokens, and maneuver dials gets your C-ROC into battle, while a suite of upgrade cards invites you to add a bevy of dirty tricks to your cruiser. Finally, a plastic maneuver tool, huge ship resource tracker, and huge ship damage deck make managing your ship fast and easy.

Announcing Three Expansions for Star Wars: X-Wing

swz64-66_boxes.png

“Traveling through hyperspace ain’t like dusting crops, boy. Without precise calculations, we’d fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova and that’d end your trip real quick, wouldn’t it?”
–Han Solo, Star Wars: A New Hope

From the skies above Coruscant to distant nebulas on the edge of the Outer Rim, there’s no telling where the next space battle in the Star Wars galaxy might erupt. When it does, squad leaders need to use the pilots under their command, their ship’s weapons and systems, and even the environment itself if they hope to claim victory. Soon, your games of Star Wars™: X-Wing will be more varied than ever before.

Fantasy Flight Games is excited to announce three expansions for X-Wing:

These expansions gather a range of obstacles and upgrades released across multiple X-Wing products, giving you a wide variety of options for customizing your ships and the environments where your battles take place. More than simply collecting previously released content, however, these expansions also introduce new ways to play X-Wing, drastically reshaping your games. In addition to new pilots and upgrades, you’ll also find environment cards that offer a way to quickly add scenarios with new combinations of obstacles and special rules that change the fabric of your games.

Read on for more information on these expansions and what they bring to X-Wing!

swz64_box_left.png

Never Tell Me the Odds Obstacles Pack

In the vast depths of space, one can find countless wonders—comets with icy trails, nebulas filled with ionizing gas, or even living creatures, like mynocks, hiding within the wreckage of past battles. When starfighters come into contact with these features during a dogfight, there’s no telling what might happen.

The Never Tell Me the Odds Obstacles Packs collects every X-Wing obstacle in one convenient package. In addition to adding nine asteroids, three debris fields, and three gas clouds to your collection, this pack also contains six environment cards that reflect the strange and terrifying places a space battle could take place.

swz64_sample.png

Each environment card changes the placement or rules around obstacles, adding even more variety to your games. If you find yourself battling amidst an Asteroid Shower, for example, you’ll find yourself maneuvering around an increasing number of asteroids as you attempt to gain the upper hand on your opponent.

We’ll take a look at even more environment cards from the Never Tell Me the Odds Obstacles Pack in a future preview!

swz65_box_left.png

Fully Loaded Devices Pack

The space battles of X-Wing are fought with much more than laser cannons and torpedoes. These battles also see heavily armed bombers wreak havoc on enemy formations by dropping powerful bombs into the middle of enemy flight paths, causing massive damage to any ships unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast radius.

Within the Fully Loaded Devices Pack, you’ll find numerous deadly devices that can be used to arm your squadron to the teeth, including the upgrade cards and tokens for Proximity Mines, Proton Bombs, Seismic Charges, and Bomblets, as well as an Electro-Proton Bomb and a Connor Net. Additionally, this pack also sees the return of Cluster Mines and Ion Bombs from X-Wing’s first edition.

swz65_sample.png

On top of these cards and tokens, this pack also contains an additional six environment cards that use devices as part of their setup, allowing players to battle in deadly minefields, fly their ships through starfields riddled with unexploded ordnance, or even maneuver to avoid continuous bombardments.

We’ll take a look at more of the environment cards included in the Fully Loaded Devices Pack in a future preview!

Hotshots and Aces Reinforcements Pack

A squadron is only as good as the pilots that make it up. From the Rebellion’s ragtag band of freedom fighters assembled from across the galaxy to TIE/fo pilots trained in space combat from childhood, every X-Wing faction has pilots that put their own spin on piloting the galaxy’s most iconic starfighters.

Now, with the Hotshots and Aces Reinforcements Pack, you can enhance your squadron options and launch new pilots into battle. This pack contains a variety of new pilots for numerous ships in the Rebel, Imperial, Scum, Resistance, and First Order factions, allowing you to add iconic characters like K-2SO to your squads.

swz66_sample.png

No matter how skilled they are, any pilot could use some upgraded weapons or technology, so Hotshots and Aces gives you even more ways to customize your ships. In addition to new pilots, this pack also contains a suite of 31 sought-after upgrade cards—including Mag-Pulse Warheads and Autoblasters —giving you the opportunity to tailor your ships to better fit their pilot’s individual abilities.

We’ll take a look at everything included in this pack—including all the new ship cards—in a future preview!

Prepare for Battle

The space battles of X-Wing could take you anywhere in the Star Wars galaxy. Be prepared for any situation and take your squadrons to the next level with these expansions!

Announcing Wave VI for Star Wars: X-Wing

swz-wave6_boxes.png

"When I was a kid that’s all I wanted. To be the best.”
   –Kazuda Xiono, Star Wars: Resistance

The Galactic Civil War may be over, but the battle for the Star Wars galaxy continues. The effects of this conflict reverberate to the farthest reaches of space and no one is truly free from their grasp. Soon, fresh-faced pilots will be ready to take up the fight and enter the white-knuckle battles of Star Wars™: X-Wing.

Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce a new wave of eight expansions for X-Wing:

Continuing to explore the conflict between the Resistance and First Order, this wave adds bold new options to both factions, inviting you to assemble new squadrons and continue the fight. Meanwhile, the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, and the galaxy’s most notorious Scum and Villainy can also expand their squadrons with ships returning from the game’s first edition, broadening the possibilities for casual and competitive play alike.

Major Vonreg’s TIE Expansion Pack

As the personal ship of the First Order elite ace Major Baron Elrik Vonreg, the Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems TIE/ba Baron Space Superiority Interceptor strikes fear in the hearts of even the most grizzled Resistance pilots. Major Vonreg personally guided the enhancement of proven designs to create this precise and lethal craft.

swz62_layout.png

Engineered with precision and lethality in mind, the TIE/ba interceptor has many ways to put pressure on your opponents. Whether you're using its prodigious speed, fine-tuned thrusters, or missiles such as Mag-Pulse Warheads, a single skilled pilot can wreak havoc on squadrons unprepared to face them.

Within this expansion, you’ll find six pilots ready to fight for the First Order, as well as six upgrade cards to fine-tune your TIE/ba interceptor’s capabilities. Accompanying these are two Quick Build cards with pre-built combinations of pilots and upgrades to help you get flying right away. We’ll take a look at everything included in Major Vonreg’s TIE Expansion Pack in a future preview!

swz63_ship_art.png

Fireball Expansion Pack

A labor of love to the crew of Jarek Yeager’s garage, the Fireball is a highly combustible, scratch-built racing ship. Flown by undercover Resistance operative Kazuda Xiono, this explosion with wings is able to push the limit around the course before living up to its name. Lightly armed but lightning fast, the Fireball can careen around the battlefield, gaining superior position on almost any enemy.

swz63_layout.png

Already an explosively-fast racing machine, adding a little Coaxium Hyperfuel can send the Fireball careening forward at a breakneck pace. Cobbled together as it is, though, you must be careful not to push the ship too far lest it break apart mid-battle.

The Fireball Expansion Pack contains everything you need to add one of these swift ships to your Resistance squadrons, including one Fireball miniature, four ship cards, and seven upgrade cards. Additionally, two Quick Build cards help you easily combine pilots and upgrades and get your Fireball to the start line as quickly as possible. We’ll look at everything inside this expansion—including all its upgrade cards—in a future preview!

swz02_ship_art.png

Saw’s Renegades Expansion Pack

Saw Gerrera’s partisans are deadly freedom fighters who have opposed tyranny since the Clone Wars. Now, they resist the Empire using every strategy and dirty trick available, zealously flying their customized T-65 X-wing and U-wing starfighters into battles that others deem hopeless or lost.

swz02_layout.png

Previously released as part of Wave XIV of the game's first edition, the Saw’s Renegades Expansion Pack contains a striking T-65 X-wing and a UT-60D U-wing miniatures painted in the colors of Saw’s partisans. In addition to these miniatures, you’ll also find ten ship cards and twelve upgrade cards identical to the second edition cards found in the first edition expansion, as well as four brand-new Quick Build cards that provide convenient pre-defined combinations of ships and upgrades.

swz03_ship_art.png

TIE Reaper Expansion Pack

Designed to deliver specialized soldiers, such as Director Krennic’s death troopers, into the raging heart of battle, the TIE reaper is the Empire’s premier high-performance transport. Equipped with advanced ailerons for precise atmospheric maneuvering, thick armor plating, powerful laser cannons, and the capacity to carry elite infantry, this menacing vessel struck fear into Rebel forces across the galaxy.

swz03_layout.png

Within the TIE Reaper Expansion Pack, you’ll find a beautifully detailed and pre-painted TIE reaper miniature alongside the second edition versions of four ship cards, ten upgrade cards, and the Optimized Prototype condition card, all identical to the second edition content originally released as part of Wave XIV for the first edition of X-Wing. Finally, this expansion also includes two new Quick Build Cards providing exciting pre-defined combinations for you to begin experimenting with your TIE reaper.

swz58_ship_art.png

Hound’s Tooth Expansion Pack

The reptilian bounty hunter Bossk is as tenacious as he is notorious, pursuing his targets doggedly in his customized YV-666 light freighter, the Hound’s Tooth, or launching his Z-95-AF4 Headhunter to engage other starfighters up-close and personal. Beside Bossk, the YV-666’s spacious triple-decker design makes it popular with bounty hunters of all stripes, who often retrofit an entire deck for prisoner transport.

swz58_layout.png

Now, the infamous Hound’s Tooth can be a part of your Scum and Villainy squadrons, giving you a contingency plan if a battle turns in your opponent’s favor. Any pilot can escape via the Nashtah Pup, but Bossk himself can partner with whoever pilots the Hound’s Tooth to track down a target together.

The Hound’s Tooth Expansion Pack contains everything you need to start your own bounty hunting career, including a YV-666 light freighter miniature and a Z-95-AF4 Headhunter miniature painted in the striking Nashtah Pup scheme. Joining these miniatures are six ship cards—four for the YV-666 and two for the Z-95-AF4 Headhunter—and fourteen upgrade cards. Finally, three Quick Build Cards give you even more options for deploying your YV-666. The Bossk Z-95-AF4 ship card contained in this expansion will also be available in the Hotshots and Aces Reinforcement Pack for the benefit of veteran players.

swz59_ship_art.png

TIE/in Interceptor Expansion Pack

With incredible engine output, a lightweight frame, and precise thrusters for close maneuvering, the TIE/in interceptor is a vessel for the most elite Imperial aces. Only those with nerves of steel can ride the knife’s edge to draw out this craft’s full potential. This includes the ship’s four wing-mounted laser cannons, a dramatic increase in firepower over its predecessors.

swz59_layout.png

Not only is the TIE/in interceptor the craft of choice of the Empire’s elite Saber Squadron, this fighter group is led by the legendary Soontir Fel, one of the best starfighter pilots in the galaxy. Taking full advantage of the ship’s maneuverability, Fel is the bane of Rebel squadrons across the galaxy.

The TIE/in Interceptor Expansion Pack gives you the chance to put Fel and three other pilots at the controls of this swift and deadly craft. Joining them are five upgrade cards that give these elite pilots even more advantages in the thick of a space battle. Finally, two Quick Build cards provide useful combinations of pilots and upgrades, allowing you to test all of the TIE/in interceptor’s capabilities.

swz60_ship_art.png

TIE/D Defender Expansion Pack

A fighter so powerful and advanced that Phoenix Squadron feared its mass production could make the Imperial Navy unbeatable, the TIE/D defender features powerful shields, speed and maneuverability, and a suite of potent weapons including missiles and cannons. In the right ace’s hands, the TIE/D defender can bring down nearly any target.

swz60_layout.png

As a departure from the design of most Imperial starfighters, the Defender opens a wide range of possibilities for Imperial squadrons. Rather than rely on large numbers of small fighters, this ship gives the Empire an option that can match more powerful Rebel fighters. The TIE/D defender is also highly customizable, and systems like a set of Advanced Sensors can give it an advantage over your opponents.

Within the TIE/D Defender Expansion Pack, you’ll find everything you need to bulk up your Imperial squadrons, including a TIE/D defender miniature, five ship cards, and four upgrade cards inviting you to outfit your ship with new systems, missiles, and cannons. Meanwhile, two Quick Build cards provide exciting combinations of pilots and upgrades, inviting you to see everything the ship can do.

swz61_ship_art.png

RZ-1 A-Wing Expansion Pack

The favored craft of Rebel aces who value precision handling, the RZ-1 A-wing can fit through narrow gaps between obstacles or fly circles around enemy craft. What these nimble interceptors lack in durability, they more than make up for in speed and maneuverability.

swz61_layout.png

The RZ-1 proved its worth by crippling Star Destroyers during the Battle of Endor, and it now adds its deadly speed to Rebel squadrons across the galaxy. Skilled pilots make the most of the RZ-1’s capabilities, turning the ship’s maneuverability into an offensive asset as they Juke  their targets.

The RZ-1 A-Wing Expansion Pack includes everything you need to add one of these speedy ships to your Rebel Alliance squadrons. An RZ-1 A-wing miniature painted in the colors of Phoenix Squadron is accompanied by four ship cards representing the Rebel pilots willing to take on the challenge of flying this craft. You can improve these pilots’ capabilities in battle with five upgrade cards of your choosing, or you can take the recommendations of two Quick Build cards for even more ways to use your RZ-1 A-wing.

Make Your Name

As the effects of past conflicts ripple into the future, new aces emerge to battle for their faction and the title of the galaxy's best pilot. With the tools you find in Wave VI for X-Wing, you'll have everything you need to claim superiority in the battles of X-Wing

Announcing the Imperial Raider Expansion for Star Wars: X-Wing

swz54_box_left.png

"We will deal with your Rebel friends soon enough."
—Grand Moff Tarkin, Star Wars: A New Hope

The flames of Rebellion move quickly, sweeping across entire star systems in an instant. While fleets of Imperial Star Destroyers can extinguish these flames, it is far better to stamp out the embers before they spread. Now, a new ship is on the way to crush the embers of Rebellion wherever they can be found. Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce the Imperial Raider Expansion Pack for Star Wars™: X-Wing!

An advanced patrol vessel developed by the Empire, the Raider-class Corvette is built to strike swiftly and decisively wipe out any resistance. Capable of spewing out salvoes of ordnance or firing focused blasts at any target hapless enough to be caught in its killzone, the Raider is a terrifying opponent on the battlefield.

Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to add a Raider-class Corvette to either your Galactic Empire or First Order squadrons, including two ship cards and variety of upgrade cards inviting you to outfit your ship with Commands, Teams, Cargo, and potent Hardpoints. You’ll also find everything you need to fly a Raider-class Corvette or any other huge ship, including a huge ship maneuver tool, a huge ship range ruler, a resource tracker, and a huge ship damage deck.

Read on for more information on the Imperial Raider Expansion Pack!

swz54_ship-art.png

A Legacy of Fear

Stalking across the stars, the Raider-class Corvette is assigned to accomplish tasks that larger warships cannot. These sleek and powerful ships are often used for reconnaissance missions, surgical strikes, or suppressing enemy starfighters. The ship was so effective at these missions during the Galactic Civil War, in fact, that supporters of the First Order still make use of it in their fight against the Resistance. Though it has outlived the regime that created it, the Raider-class Corvette still spreads fear across the galaxy.

Although the Raider-class Corvette is one of the Empire’s smallest warships, it can be loaded with a surprising variety of ordnance, making it a threat to both enemy fighters and the larger ships that support them. To this end, the ship features concentrated batteries that further enhance its prodigious firepower, granting it an extra die while performing a primary, torpedo, or missile attack.

swz54_sample.png

Harnessing the power of such as ship is not a task for a single pilot, of course, and the Raider-class Corvette operates most effectively with an entire crew to keep its systems up and running. Teams of Gunnery Specialists or ordnance experts can unlock even more potential in the ship’s weapons, using its energy to fire more accurately or ensure its deadly ordnance is ready to fire at a moment’s notice. At the same time, some of the Empire’s finest officers can take command, coordinating with the squadron's smaller ships from the bridge.

With so many ways to outfit it for battle, it should be no surprise that the many Raider-class Corvettes in Imperial service differ drastically in their approach to space combat. With the Imperial Raider Expansion Pack, you can deploy these iconic ships to battle, making use of their unique capabilities to further your own strategic objectives.

swz54_cardfan_a1-2x.png
The Raider-class Corvette can be flown as part of both Imperial and First Order Squadrons!

A central part of the elite Inferno Squad, the fearsome Corvus, for example, brings its own complement of starfighters to a battle. What’s more, the crew of this imposing ship are always coldly calculating their next move, gaining an additional calculate token after performing a calculate action. We’ll take a closer look inside the Imperial Raider Expansion Pack—including all the Title upgrade cards—in a future preview!

Harness the Might

From the Core Worlds to the far reaches of the Outer Rim, the Raider-class Corvette is ready to remind the galaxy of the long reach of the Empire. Harness its power and stamp out rebellion when the Imperial Raider Expansion Pack arrives in the fourth quarter of 2019!

Announcing Seven Damage Decks for Star Wars: X-Wing

swz_logo_bk-tm.png

“R2, that stabilizer’s broken loose again! See if you can’t lock it down.”
—Luke Skywalker, Star Wars: A New Hope

The space battles of Star Wars™: X-wing encompass every era of the Star Wars saga, putting you in command of an array of starfighters from seven distinct factions. No matter if you fly T-65 X-Wings in the name of the Rebellion or perform devastating bombing runs with the Separatist Alliance’s Hyena-class Droid Bombers, one thing is sure: your ships will take damage.

Soon, you’ll be able personalize your X-Wing squadrons while declaring loyalty to the faction of your choice. Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce seven new damage decks for X-Wing:

Stay on Target

Whether your ships are hit by blasters or proton torpedoes, the damage they take in a game of X-Wing is normally tracked by the standard damage deck included in the X-Wing Core Set. With these damage decks, however, you can personalize the look of your squadron by replacing this deck with one that matches the colors of your chosen faction.

Each deck contains a complete set of thirty-three illustrated damage cards that correspond to those in the standard damage deck. While the text of these cards might match, their graphic design makes it clear that your squadron belongs to a particular faction. But these decks do more than simply indicate where your loyalties lie. The cards themselves cleary pinpoint the damaged portion of your ship in Aurebesh on a diagnostic display of one of your faction's starfighters.

Those flying as part of the Rebel Alliance, for example, will see their damage on a readout of a BTL-A4 Y-Wing starfighter.

swz72_cardfan.png

The damage cards in the Galactic Empire Damage Deck, meanwhile, feature a TIE/in Interceptor.

swz73_cardfan.png

The galaxy’s most notorious Scum and Villainy have their damage highlighted on a Fang Fighter.

swz74_cardfan.png

While an image of a T-70 X-Wing helps Resistance pilots know exactly where their ships have been hit.

swz75_cardfan.png

Heading into battle with the next generation of Imperial designs, damage to First Order ships is displayed on a TIE/sf Fighter.

swz76_cardfan.png

Those loyal to the Galactic Republic can assess their damage with an image of a Delta-7 Aethersprite.

swz77_cardfan.png

Finally, squadrons committed to the Separatist Alliance see their damage displayed on the faction’s most iconic starfighter: the Vulture-class Droid Fighter.

swz78_cardfan.png

In addition to graphic design unique to each damage deck, the cards have been expanded to a larger size. Rather than using the Mini American Board Game card size, as in the X-Wing Core Set, these damage decks feature LCG® size cards, making them even easier to read and use in battle.

Show Your True Colors

The tense starfighter battles of X-Wing invite you to put your own spin on a squadron of fighters representing one of seven factions. Add even more personalization to your squadrons these damage decks!
