Last year, the Adepta Sororitas received a fully updated range, including iconic units such as Battle Sisters and Repentia released in plastic. Did you think that would be all? Oh, ye of little faith.

2021 will see even more reinforcements on the way for the Sisters of Battle. We’ve already unveiled the new Palatine model, now take a look at the Paragon Warsuit.

We recommend that if this thing ever knocks on your door offering to tell you all about the God-Emperor you should let them in and take one of their pamphlets.

We’re just getting started for the Adepta Sororitas – in 2021 your faith will be rewarded even further.

This fantastic set includes two armies – Adepta Sororitas and Drukhari – alongside a 32-page campaign book packed with datasheets, missions, Crusade rules, and Theatre of War rules for urban arenas. There’s also the story behind the campaign, as Lelith Hesperax murders her way through Battle Sisters, which you can find out more about in our suitably grisly preview.

The Adepta Sororitas army includes five heavy-weapon toting Retributors with a pair of Armorium Cherubs, a heavily armoured Immolator, and a Palatine – a new hero with head and weapons options.

Their vehicle forges haven’t been silent in the meantime either.

The Adepta Sororitas, like us, are clearly fans of a good tracked tank and have decided it’s high time they had another. Being the pious sorts that they are, it’s called the Castigator, and there’s no doubt someone’s about to get severely reprimanded by that battle cannon on the turret.

Fans of the Immolator and Exorcist tanks will immediately feel right at home among the baroque stylings of the Castigator, with plenty of ornamental filigree adorning every surface – even the cannon barrel. We can’t wait to see whole squadrons of Adepta Sororitas tanks rolling out when these arrive on the tabletop.

Take the Fight to the Heretics With the Elite Melee Specialists of the Adepta Sororitas

40k BattleSisterBulletin Apr12 Header

That’s right, folks – the Battle Sister Bulletin is back! As with our very first series on the Adepta Sororitas, which built up to the launch of their hotly anticipated plastic range, we’ll be bringing you a new instalment every couple of weeks, complete with reveals of upcoming miniatures, artwork, rules, and more.

In this instalment, we’re introducing a new division of the Celestians – the fighting elite of the Orders Militant – known as Celestian Sacresants. Like their Celestian sisters, Sacresants traditionally act as bodyguards to the heads of their Order, but they’re also tasked with another holy duty – purging the impure and driving them from sites of sacred significance on the battlefield.

As a Celestian, each Sacresant is a highly skilled warrior, able to overcome many times her own number in battle. Sacresants wield a variety of blessed polearms and maces with which to smite the unclean, and bear large, ornate shields to ward off the blows of their enemies. Protected in both body and spirit, Celestian Sacresants are the wall against which waves of heretics will break.

So, now you know who they are, take a look at these fearsome new Battle Sisters!

40k BattleSisterBulletin Apr12 Content1a

Imperious poses? Check.

Cool shields? Check.

Massive, heretic-smiting weapons? Check.

What’s more, the Adepta Sororitas finally has a heavily armoured close combat unit with some serious staying power. The Celestian Sacresants will certainly look great in your collection, as they really stand apart from the crowd.

Speaking of which, this awesome new unit is on its way soon, so if you want to make sure you already have an Adepta Sororitas collection to add them to, grab yourself a Battle Sisters Squad or two today.*

One last thing. Those of you who picked up the Piety and Pain boxed set may have noticed that the points and Power Rating for the Palatine were not in the rulebook you got. They are set to appear in a future publication, but until then we thought you might like to unleash this new Adepta Sororitas commander in your games of Warhammer 40,000.

40k BattleSisterBulletin Apr12 PalatineBoxout1f

At just 45 points, this pious heroine is quite a bargain and the perfect lieutenant for your Canoness when she’s got other duties to attend to (namely, crushing skulls in the Emperor’s name).

* Remember, of course, that you can build standard Celestian Squads with this kit, too, so it will work well even if you’re looking to build a more elite Adepta Sororitas army.

Let’s deal with the biggest talking point first of all – give praise to the God-Emperor, as the Adepta Sororitas are back.

You may have suspected as much after the return of the Battle Sister Bulletin, but we can now happily confirm that a new codex for the Adepta Sororitas is on its way, along with a wave of incredible miniatures. Check out this video revealing what you can look forward to.

With a souped-up codex and a swathe of new models available to them, the Adepta Sororitas are set to become a full-on powerhouse army that can mix it up with all of the top factions. Let’s formally introduce the units that are getting ready to join the ranks of the Orders Militant, starting from the top – like, right at the top.

Morvenn Vahl, Abbess Sanctorum of the Adepta Sororitas

Upon her recent elevation to Abbess Sanctorum, Morvenn Vahl became the supreme commander of the Adepta Sororitas and guardian of the faith. Yet, unlike many of her predecessors, Morvenn Vahl continues to lead her sisters from the front lines. Clad in Purgator Mirabilis, a Paragon Warsuit of peerless quality, she takes the fight to heretics and the impious wherever they may be found.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content1q

Morvenn Vahl also has the honour of being a High Lord of Terra – a lofty status granted to her upon the personal recommendation of Roboute Guilliman himself. As if that wasn’t enough of a ringing endorsement, Vahl is held in such high esteem by the Adeptus Custodes that they granted her stewardship of the fabled Lance of Illumination – a legendary blade with which she can sweep aside the unclean or pierce even the foulest hide with ease.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content2c

As a High Lord of Terra and head of the Orders Militant, Morvenn Vahl’s authority is absolute. Her status puts her right on a par with other faction leaders such as Szarekh, the Silent King, Abaddon the Despoiler, and Captain-General Trajann Valoris

You can expect to see her leading armies of her Adepta Sororitas Sisters on battlefields everywhere soon. Not only is she a force to be reckoned with by herself, but her commanding presence makes her a serious force multiplier to boot.

Aestred Thurga and Agathae Dolan

You may recognise Aestred Thurga from our most recent Battle Sister Bulletin. As the bearer of the banner known as the Auto-Tapestry of the Emperor’s Judgement, Aestred is held in great reverence by all of the Orders Militant. Adepta Sororitas in her presence all fight harder, inspired by the knowledge that the God-Emperor’s gaze is upon them – and that their deeds in battle will be recorded by the Hagiolater, Agathae Dolan, who accompanies her at all times.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content3e

On the tabletop, if Agathae Dolan plants her sacred standard at the right place and time, the tide of a battle can be turned in an instant. These holy Sisters also serve as great additions to a Crusade force. Not only do they fit in thematically, but they come with a pair of abilities that interact well with the bespoke Adepta Sororitas Crusade rules in the new codex. Whether you’re a player or a painter, they’re perfect for your collection.

You’ll no doubt recognise the Dogmata, who serves as the judge, jury, and executioner of the Orders Militant, from our reveal earlier this year. She’ll soon be bringing her stern gaze, unflinching determination, and whopping great mace to the armies of the Adepta Sororitas.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content4l

In addition to being a formidable force in melee combat, the Dogmata ensures that nearby Sisters redouble their efforts when performing actions and holding objectives – a handy combination that can help you get the edge over your opponent in key situations.

First seen way back in July last year in our Warhammer 40,000 Launch Party Preview, the Palatine has since starred in the Piety and Pain battlebox. She will be available separately for the first time alongside the Adepta Sororitas codex launch.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content5a

A Palatine is a welcome presence in any Sisters of Battle army, her Fury of the Righteous ability bolstering the combat efficiency of those under her charge.

Celestian Sacresants

To kick off the return of the Battle Sister Bulletin, we featured one of the new Celestian Sacresants, but now we can happily reveal the entire squad.

This elite sisterhood is equipped with blessed, heretic-smiting halberds and maces, and they carry large shields for protection in the crucible of battle. Their ability to perform Heroic Interventions makes the Celestian Sacresants bodyguards without peer, helping you keep your prized Characters alive and your army fighting at optimum efficiency.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content6z

Paragon Warsuits

The ultimate expression of faith being rewarded in the Orders Militant is to be given the honour of piloting a Paragon Warsuit. The bellicose machine spirits bound within the Paragon Warsuits trust only the purest warriors of the Adepta Sororitas to take command. However, should such a union be formed successfully, the warsuit’s pilot can advance through the thickest enemy fire and engage the most fearsome foes head-on.

Each Paragon Warsuit is equipped with enough firepower to rival a Dreadnought of the Adeptus Astartes. The warsuit’s left arm is outfitted with a heavy bolter, heavy flamer, or multi-melta, which is augmented by a shoulder-mounted secondary weapon system in the form of a grenade launcher or pair of storm bolters. For melee opponents, the warsuit’s pilot wields a large war blade with which to hew through her enemies or an enormous mace designed to crush even the largest skulls in a single blow.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content7b

What’s more, Paragon Warsuit pilots train to fight as a trio, so you can look forward to adding a box (or more if you like – we won’t judge) of three of these elegant but powerful war machines to your collection.

If you saw our Faith & Damnation preview, you’ll no doubt be familiar with the Castigator, the fearsome new battle tank of the Adepta Sororitas. Like the other tanks in the vehicle pool of the Orders Militant, this beast of a war machine is based upon a Rhino chassis. It fulfils a dedicated fire support role, and it’s much like the Space Marine Predator, with a powerful turret-mounted primary weapon and sponson-mounted heavy bolters.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content8r

The Castigator differs from its Adeptus Astartes equivalent in that it also sports a third, hull-mounted heavy bolter and either a twin-barreled autocannon or battle cannon as its turret weapon. That’s some serious firepower right there. Heretics – you’ve been warned!

Codex: Adepta Sororitas

Before we go into detail about the new edition of the codex, let’s hand you over to the design studio’s Stu Black to tell us all about it.

The Adepta Sororitas are getting their biggest and best codex ever – a whopping 128 pages that bring their lore right up to date. This sacred tome comes complete with over 35 datasheets and a suite of Crusade rules that breathe life into the Sisters of Battle on the tabletop.

The codex also introduces rules for Hymns of Battle – inspirational verses sung by the Dogmata that venerate the God-Emperor – and Minoris convictions that give you the option to represent an Order Militant of your own creation on the battlefield.

FestDay2 May4 SoB Content10n

If you’ve ever been interested in starting a collection of the Adepta Sororitas, now is definitely the time.

This High Lord of Terra Prefers the Battlefield to the Boardroom

40k BattleSisterBulletin Apr12 Header

Welcome back to the Battle Sister Bulletin, our regular series of articles looking at a whole reliquary’s worth of new releases for the Adepta Sororitas. Following the reveal of their full new range in last week’s Warhammer Fest Online, we’re taking a closer look at the zealous young warrior who’s leading them into the maelstrom of the Indomitus Crusade.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Content2w

Morvenn Vahl is one of the youngest Battle Sisters to ever occupy the position of Abbess Sanctorum, the supreme commander of the Adepta Sororitas. Chosen by the Ecclesiarch in the vain hope of securing a malleable and inexperienced pawn, Vahl instead took to her appointment with the faith and zeal that had served her well in the Celestant order.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Content1d

While many would have welcomed the comfort and safety the position allowed, she instead spent little time establishing her authority before leaving for the front lines once again. Ever a warrior first and administrator second, Vahl strides the battlefields of the 41st Millennium clad in Purgator Mirabilis, the finest warsuit of its kind and an ancient relic restored to glory by the Fabricator General of Mars himself.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Boxout5h

While all Paragon Warsuits (which you may remember seeing in January’s Warhammer Preview Online) afford their wearer unparalleled protection among the Adepta Sororitas’ infantry, Purgator Mirabilis is as far removed from them as Astartes power armour is from a common flak jacket. Powerful energy fields blunt attacks even before they can reach the thick adamantine plate, turning aside blows that would cripple even the Emperor’s Angels of Death.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Boxout1f

The suit itself plays host to a destructive missile launcher of the sort usually found only on much larger vehicles, while the Abbess strikes down her enemies with a gigantic relic power spear named the Lance of Illumination.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Boxout4t

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Boxout3f

Despite her preference for getting stuck into the fiercest fights around, Morvenn Vahl is every bit the taciturn commander her position demands. Her fellow Battle Sisters rally around the glorious golden figure of her warsuit and fight with superhuman ferocity, knowing that their supreme commander is every bit as ready to lay down her life for the God-Emperor as they are.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May10 Boxout2o

That’s all we have time for today, but the Battle Sister Bulletin will be back in two weeks for another look at the upcoming Adepta Sororitas. We’ve heard it has something to do with hymns, so you might want to get a bit of vocal practice in.

The Adepta Sororitas Are Singing Their Way to Galactic Domination With These Hymns of Battle

40k BattleSisterBulletin Apr12 Header

In the last Battle Sister Bulletin, we met the mighty Morvenn Vahl, and this time, we’re taking a look at the tuneful melodies of the Adepta Sororitas’ Hymns of Battle. After hearing the grating electronica of the Adeptus Mechanicus, it’s fair to say the Sisters of Battle prefer something a little more… traditional.

They’ve already got accompaniment in the form of the Exorcist, so these devout warriors can move their enemies to tears with a dirge in the minor key of suffering. Open your hymn books to page 73, and we’ll take a look.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May24 Image1efgte

The hymns of the Battle Sisters are legendary – stirring the hearts of the faithful to ever greater deeds while causing the mutant, heretic, and witch to flee in abject terror. The new Adepta Sororitas codex features fresh rules allowing you to have a real jam sesh in your games.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May24 Image4istwpy

Every Priest in your army can intone a hymn they know during your Command phase. If it’s inspiring, your army dances to the beat,* earning some form of bonus. For example, want to make your bolt weapons sing a song of sweet death that will really get stuck in their head? Chant the Catechism of Repugnance.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May24 Image2obnd

Alternatively, if you’re up against an army of infernal witches, such as Magnus the Red and his cadre, you might want some protection from their warp-spawned magics. Have your Priests lead a rousing Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude to drown them out.

40k BattleSisterBulletin May24 Image3wqyfw

As you’d expect within an army of zealots, there are plenty of Priests to chant these hymns. From the Dialogus and the humble Missionary to the awesome Dogmata, you’ll have no trouble finding someone to lead the chorus. With six hymns to choose from, you’ll be humming these tunes long after another glorious victory for the Emperor.

The Adepta Sororitas codex is out soon, along with all of the stunning new models we previewed at Warhammer Fest Online. Make sure you’ve got a Dialogus so you’re ready to start singing hymns as soon as the book is available.

* Metaphorically, we presume. In their hearts.

As if the other new units for the Adepta Sororitas aren’t scary enough, the terrifying Dogmata is here to keep a close eye on her fellow Sisters and galvanise them with her rousing hymns. That’s not to say she’s just a glorified motivational speaker, though – her mace of the righteous might be a ceremonial mark of office, but it’s also still a mace.

You’re Gonna Need More Miracle Dice As These New Rules Make the Adepta Sororitas Holier Than Ever

SoBArmyRules May31 SistersHeader

To say the Adepta Sororitas are a faithful bunch is selling them rather short, as their sheer fanatical devotion to the Emperor of Mankind is so strong that great miracles spontaneously occur whenever enough Sisters congregate. They must have been praying extra hard lately, as those miracles are becoming even more powerful.

Blessings of the Faithful

Particularly noteworthy Canonesses and Palatines (such as Erika Luminas who debuted in Piety and Pain) are sometimes rewarded with a divine blessing from the Emperor Himself, manifesting as a glowing light, angelic wings, supernatural powers, or in the case of a Living Saint, all of the above.

Now, the leaders of your armies can take on one of these blessings and bathe the battlefield in divine light.

SoBArmyRules May31 BlessingTable00cl4

These blessings are made up of two parts: the first is a persistent effect that applies all battle long, while the second can only be temporarily activated by expending a Miracle die. Using a die with a particularly high number will extend the range at which the effect works, so make sure you weigh up your options against needing a particularly high roll elsewhere.

SoBArmyRules May31 WordOfEmps3kx1

Each blessing can only be used once per battle, so make sure your Canoness or Palatine of choice is geared up to take the best advantage of it before you get started.

In preparation for a series of grand crusades across the stars, the Adepta Sororitas have been cooking up all kinds of new and upgraded Stratagems to deploy on the battlefield. Here are a few of our absolute favourites.

SoBArmyRules May31 FaithFury37dh4

Faith and Fury is an old friend, helping your Battle Sisters get the most out of the miracles they perform, and now it’s even cheaper than before at just 1CP. With your precious Miracle dice more in demand than ever, it pays to stretch each one as far as possible.

SoBArmyRules May31 DefendersFaith2lx3

As the rank and file of the Adepta Sororitas, it falls to Battle Sister squads to hold the battlefield’s vital points in the face of whatever the enemy might throw at them. Defenders of the Faith makes them incredibly tenacious when guarding an objective, with foes needing to press through a storm of boltgun fire only to find the Battle Sisters shrugging off wounds that would lay any normal human low.

SoBArmyRules May31 Shieldwall9vk4

When an even greater defensive wall is needed, look no further than the shield-carrying Celestian Sacresants and their Ecclesiarchal comrades in the Crusaders. Both blessed with powerful shields and trained to hold the line at any cost, using Inviolate Shieldwall will see bullets, bolts, and las blasts peel off them like rainwater.

SoBArmyRules May31 Sacresants5m7z

These rules are only a handful of the momentous changes coming in the new Codex: Adepta Sororitas. Make sure to pre-order your copy this weekend to get access to everything that’s changed, and let us know how you’re planning on bringing holy fire to the enemies of the God-Emperor over on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The Adepta Sororitas’ Latest Reinforcements Just Love Whacking Things With Giant Maces

SoBArmyRules May31 SistersHeader

Last month during Warhammer Fest Online we got a good look at all of the new models coming soon to the Adepta Sororitas. Battle Sisters across the board are about to see all manner of updates in the upcoming Codex: Adepta Sororitas, and to get into the crusading spirit we’re giving you a sneak peek at how they fight.

ASNewUnits June01 SistersTerrain3lc9k

Fans of maces, in particular, will have cause to rejoice, as they’re a favoured weapon among the God-Emperor’s most faithful, and many of the new warriors we’ll meet this week are a dab hand at cracking skulls with them on the battlefield.

Paragon Warsuit

ASNewUnits June01 ParagonStats6cn4

Piloted by the most worthy Sisters of the elite Celestians, Paragon Warsuits are deployed wherever the fighting is thickest. Their large, armoured bulk, coupled with surprising agility, allows them to duel with the most fearsome of enemies and emerge victorious. The finely wrought suits are a cut above regular-sized power armour, featuring many of the same systems but in a greatly more durable package.

ASNewUnits June01 Paragon2cnh45

Commonly equipped with one of the holy trinity of Adepta Sororitas heavy weapons – the heavy bolter, Ministorum heavy flamer, and multi-melta – they also wield huge melee weapons crackling with power fields to tear through enemy armour like it was tissue paper.

Celestian Sacresant

ASNewUnits June01 SacresantStats4c42k

While many members of the Celestians are trained to act as bodyguards for their Canoness and take to the field with the trusty boltgun at their side, others venture out into the galaxy on holy quests. When these Sacresants answer the call to war and return to their Order, they take up thick powered shields and heavy melee weapons to fight at the very forefront of the Adepta Sororitas’ campaigns.

ASNewUnits June01 DogmataStats5cjl6

The fearsome Dogmatas uphold righteousness among their fellow Sisters, and while we’ve seen just why their allies fear and respect them in equal measure, it’s worth knowing that their enemies have just as much reason to stay away from these exceptional warriors. The aptly named mace of the righteous isn’t just a mark of office, after all, and is quite capable of bowling over man and monster alike while the Dogmata bellows their hymns of battle.

Elevate a Sister of Battle to Living Saint Status With the Crusade Rules in Codex: Adepta Sororitas

SoBArmyRules May31 SistersHeader

As some of the most revered figures to grace the Imperium’s dark history, Living Saints (such as the storied Saint Celestine) are beacons of the Emperor’s will that illuminate the battlefield in a blaze of holy light. While they’re often plucked from the most faithful and devout of His servants, some undertake arduous trials to prove their worth and gain powerful blessings on the road to sainthood.

Now your very own Sisters of Battle can take that dangerous journey. By marking one of your Characters as a Saint Potentia, they can embark upon several different trials in an attempt to earn their place among the Emperor’s most powerful servants.

ASCrusadeRules June02 TrialFaithDeeds9tkg8

Each time your Saint Potentia completes one of the Saintly deeds associated with their chosen trial, they earn a number of Saint points. Accumulating 10 of these points completes the trial and earns the Saint Potentia a powerful ability.

ASCrusadeRules June02 TrialFaith88zl1u

Complete all five of the trials and congratulations – your Saint Potentia is now a Living Saint with a repertoire of abilities mortal soldiers could only dream of. Whether it’s unleashing bursts of pure soulfire or becoming immune to the ravages of Battle Scars, your new Saint will undoubtedly make their mark on the history of the 41st Millennium. Until they’re Martyred that is.

ASCrusadeRules June02 MartyrPoint7kv8

Oh well, maybe they’ll get an entire procession of their own one day.

In addition to unleashing a Living Saint, your force has the opportunity to acquire some powerful Crusade Requisitions and Relics throughout their campaign, including new Battle Traits.

ASCrusadeRules June02 Zealous6883j

ASCrusadeRules June02 Armoured5lv99

As you might expect from an organisation with an entire Order devoted to hunting and preserving holy treasures, the Crusade Relics on offer have a variety of particularly powerful effects.

ASCrusadeRules June02 Rosarius41ls9

ASCrusadeRules June02 BladeAdmonition3xn3

Your Saint Potentia won’t be the only one growing in power as the Crusade goes on. Use Agendas from a new category in Codex: Adepta Sororitas to grant your Sisters additional experience in combat.

Which units will you take along with you on Crusade? Will your Canoness be attaining the Living Saint’s mantle? Or perhaps you’ll choose a particularly devout Dogmata instead? Faithful Serenity, Pure Rage, or Just Plain Ol’ Fire – Pick the Holy Order That’s Perfect for Your Adepta Sororitas

SoBArmyRules May31 SistersHeader

The Sisters of Battle are setting off on crusade this weekend as Codex: Adepta Sororitas arrives for pre-order on Saturday, alongside a congregation of new units that we looked at earlier this week.

SundayPreview May30 AdeptaSororitasCodex1ckb

Though they all fight with absolute belief in the Emperor and a burning hatred of Mankind’s enemies, the Orders of the Adepta Sororitas are by no means identical. Each has different traditions that form their foundation and unique attitudes towards their service. To better understand what makes them tick, let’s have a look at the six major Orders and the ways they spread faith across the galaxy.

The Sisters of the Order of Our Martyred Lady are, as the name suggests, more than happy to throw themselves into situations where casualties are inevitable, so long as it serves the will of the Emperor.

So familiar are they with selfless sacrifice that they actually draw power from it, fighting harder than ever once faithful blood is spilt.

Should a leader of the Order fall, the perpetrators of such a terrible deed will soon find the martyr’s fellow Battle Sisters looking for bloody vengeance as they fight on with renewed conviction.

Warlords of the Order of Our Martyred Lady love to deliver violent justice to Mankind’s foes in the deadliest areas of the battlefield. Accordingly, they are often weathered and scarred individuals who can shrug off grievous wounds and generate greater divine power from their deeds.

For the Sisters of the Order of the Valorous Heart, no amount of suffering is too great when endured in the Emperor’s name. Their legendary grit and determination are reflected in the grim, uncompromising manner in which they fight.

It can be hard to pinpoint the enemy in the bloody chaos of a battlefield, but some among this Order’s ranks have learned to focus their faith, and they call on the Emperor to guide their aim.

Following the example of their founder, Saint Lucia, a commander of the Order can push themselves through all but the most fatal wounds, no matter how much suffering they might endure.

Where the Order of the Valorous Heart is stoic, the Order of the Bloody Rose is incendiary. Blazing with the fire of their hatred towards the aliens, mutants, and heretics that threaten the Imperium, these Sisters dive into battle with an unquenchable desire to slaughter as many foes as they possibly can.

Such is their righteous anger that Sisters of the Bloody Rose are wont to charge headlong into melee regardless of the odds, tearing away at the enemy with blades, hands, and whatever else they can get a hold of.

Where other leaders may try to curtail the impetuousness of their Sisters, some Warlords drive them onwards by sheer bloody example, carving up a storm among crimson fighters.

As the first of the Orders to be created on Holy Terra, the Order of the Ebon Chalice traces its doctrines back to the Daughters of the Emperor,* and the Sisters rigidly adhere to the foundations upon which the Adepta Sororitas were forged. So great is their prestige that all other Orders measure themselves by their example.

One of the most iconic symbols of the Adepta Sororitas is the cleansing flame, and warriors of the Ebon Chalice carry it with them into battle with devastating results.

Keeping rigid faith in tradition brings with it some burdens, such as knowledge that’s unsafe for all but the most devoted minds. Such insight does lend its bearers something of a different perspective, though, which can be useful on the battlefield.

The Order of the Argent Shroud is often deployed as the spearhead of an Imperial crusade, taking advantage of speed and boldness to drive a silver bolt through the heart of an enemy force.

Their unwavering faith renders Battle Sisters of the Argent Shroud even more resilient against psychic assault than is typical for the Adepta Sororitas. As such, they are frequently able to disregard the cursed sorceries of the Archenemy’s minions.

All Sisters of Battle are happy to throw themselves in front of their comrades to intercept a deadly attack, but some are even more proactive than usual in the defence of the faithful.

Even among the din of a raging battlefield, the Order of the Sacred Rose is a calm and collected force of serenity who sing hymns of hope and salvation to the tune of roaring boltguns and blazing promethium.

Divine judgement is the domain of the Emperor alone, and while few would consider themselves worthy of judging guilt on His behalf, many stand ready to mete out the inevitable punishment.

So holy is the light that pours from the Sacred Rose’s most devout commanders that their mere presence on the battlefield inspires fellow Sisters to greater acts of bravery.

While these six Orders are the most commonly encountered of the Adepta Sororitas’ forces, they are by no means the only ones to be found. Uncounted Orders Minoris fight across the galaxy, many exhibiting strange and innovative approaches to war born from ancient dogma taken to its extreme.

You can create your own Order Minoris by selecting two convictions from a list of sixteen. To demonstrate one of the combinations you can make, we borrowed Warhammer Community’s Scheduling Warlord Darcy’s Order of the Shattered Glass.
