The Traitor Legions of Heretic Astartes have been corrupted into savage and malevolent beings by their time exiled in the warp, but few have fallen as far as the Night Lords. Their appetite for cruelty knows no bounds, and their unchecked mastery of fear makes them some of the most effective terror troops in the galaxy.

Even amongst their vicious and sadistic brothers, the Night Lords that make up the kill teams known as Nemesis Claws are brutal, unhinged murderers who commit the darkest atrocities for fun, draping themselves in the flayed skins of their victims and eking out every drop of fear and pain from those unfortunate enough to face them.

This dedication to the arts of terror and ambush makes them shockingly effective special operatives – few opponents can remain focused on the mission at hand while the screams of the dying echo across the vox net. Though they are valuable terror weapons, no warlord would truly trust the monsters that make up a Nemesis Claw – most are simply unleashed upon a world’s defenders and left to their own devices, as they seek out vital targets on which to slake their unholy appetites.

Despite their insatiable bloodlust, these are not roaring Berzerkers – the Night Lords are one with the shadows they inhabit, and prize stealth just as much as savagery. Their faction ability, In Midnight Clad, obscures them from enemy fire while lurking around terrain, only to burst from concealment in a whirlwind of blood and blades.

These twisted killers have a clear predilection for close combat, sporting weapons designed for bloody carnage – lightning claws, Nostraman chainglaives, and lethal poisoned blades. Even those who opt for ranged weapons like plasma guns and missile launchers find ways to festoon them in hooks, blades, and barbs.

The kit itself uses the phenomenal Chaos Space Marines as a base and adds an extra-large upgrade sprue full of macabre tchotchkes, from draped skins and trophies to winged helmets and flensing blades. 

You’ll also find new wargear for building unique Nemesis Claws operatives – like the Ventrilokar icon bearer, who carries a sorcerous totem built from the ruined corpse of a murdered Space Marine. World Championships Preview – The Enforcer Tauros is in Hot Pursuit

 

 

As the sanctioned and completely unbiased defenders of law and order in the hive spires, the Palanite Enforcers get access to some of the best equipment around. When it comes to crossing the treacherous expanse of Necromunda’s ash wastes, the Enforcers opt for the rugged and dependable Tauros Venator ATV, and now your patrols can mount up too with a brand new plastic kit.

The Tauros is a reliable workhorse, found on frontier worlds and hazardous outlands across the Imperium. It’s adapted as a far-ranging scout vehicle by certain regiments of the Astra Militarum, such as the Elysian Drop Troops – and the bigger, six-wheeled Tauros Venator variant can support a rear turret mounted with even heavier guns.

This nimble all-terrain vehicle allows Palanite Enforcers to police Necromunda’s vital ridgeways at high speed, while carrying serious firepower. Out of the box, the turret can mount either twin heavy stubbers or twin concussion cannons, and its Dedicated Gunner allows the Tauros Venator to Move and Shoot at full speed.

The miniature is also covered in loads of intricate details, from stowage and ash wastes supplies to the distinctly Enforcer-styled armour and cosmetic options of its Palanite Ranger crew. Codex: Necrons

The first of our two mighty metal militants this week are the Necrons, an ancient race of cantankerous robots who long-ago traded the weakness of the flesh for mechanical immortality. What could possibly go wrong with such a bargain?

Orikan the Diviner

One of the most curmudgeonly Necrons in the galaxy, Orikan is a master astromancer with many millennia of experience who turns peevishness into art. Crucially, he’s also perfectly capable of reducing his enemies to smoking craters of disassembled matter. As a Master Chronomancer, he affords his bodyguards a 4+ invulnerable save, and once per game he can channel cosmic alignments to triple his Strength and Attacks in combat.

Overlord with Translocation Shroud

All the most on-trend Overlords are travelling via extra-dimensional nether-realms this aeon, and a Translocation Shroud is the coming thing at all the best royal courts. This clever little trinket allows your Overlord and a squad of his best buddies mindless thralls to Advance 6” every time, phasing through terrain, buildings, and enemy units as they move.

Overlord with Tachyon Arrow

Just because you can grab a transdimensional tchotchke from your ancestral treasure rooms, doesn’t mean you have to. Plenty of other equally refined Necron Overlords prefer not to sully themselves by phasing their way through the gaucheness of enemy flesh. This particular Overlord – originally available only in certain boxed sets from the previous edition of Warhammer 40,000 – prefers the elegance of a tachyon arrow, which launches a hyperaccelerated thunderbolt out to a range of 72″ for a Strength 16 shot that causes D6+2 damage. Yes, you can only fire it once, but your puny foe won’t need to be told a second time.

Royal Warden

This glittery fellow is a henchman par excellence, the right hand of any Overlord with big dreams and an undying legion or two just waiting to be roused. And rouse them the Royal Warden will, geeing up any unit he’s attached to to Charge or Shoot even after they’ve Fallen Back. Originally available only in boxed sets for the previous edition, this is his first solo release.

Combat Patrol: Necrons

Amonhotekh’s Guard is the new Necron Combat Patrol, arriving with 19 miniatures for use both in full games of Warhammer 40,000 and fast and furious bouts of Combat Patrol. It contains an Overlord with Tachyon Arrow, a Canoptek Doomstalker, three Skorpekh Destroyers with a Plasmacyte, three Scarab Swarms, and 10 Necron Warriors. Necron Datasheet Cards and Dice

The Necrons get the essential accessories treatment, with a comprehensive set of Datasheet Cards and a packet of 16 six-sided dice with the faction icon on each 6 face. The cards include 47 individual datasheets for quick reference on the fly, five more for Combat Patrol, and one card to remind you of your army rule.

Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus

The devotees of the Machine God may have a mite more flesh than the Necrons, but these stubborn cyborgs are no less truculent. They too are receiving two Codexes – a standard edition and a Collectors’ Edition with a fancy cover, a ribbon bookmark, and red foil blocking.

Both editions offer the same contents within – you’ll get 30 datasheets covering every cyber-soldier at your disposal, as well as five diverse Detachments to help spread the good word of the Omnissiah. Sydonian Skratos

The Sydonian Skratos is the supreme sniper sentinel sporting the longest legs in the grim darkness of the far future. They delight in taking out enemy troops or tanks with a choice of a radium jezzail or a transuranic arquebus, and while they loom large over the battlefield, they’re hard to put down – you can’t even target them from more than 12″ away.

Combat Patrol: Adeptus Mechanicus

Purge Corps Deltic-9 are the new Adeptus Mechanicus Combat Patrol, comprising 19 miniatures led by the portly Tech-Priest Manipulus Skand. He heads up a rapid response unit of three Serberys Sulphurhounds (which can also be made into Serberys Raiders), five Pteraxii Sterylizors (which may also be built as Pteraxii Skystalkers), and 10 Skitarii Vanguard (who may also be built as Skitarii Rangers). They come with a full set of rules for games of Combat Patrol, and make a fast-moving contingent for a Warhammer 40,000 army.

World Championships Preview – Orikan Divines a Crusade-Filled Future in the Pariah Nexus

 

 

The ancient Necrons put much stock in the arts of mysticism and astromancy, and among its practitioners none are as notorious as Orikan the Diviner. He made his first appearance over a decade ago in the 5th edition of Warhammer 40,000, and now a new miniature is finally written in the stars.

This cantankerous Cryptek has an unmatched command over the arts of prediction and prophecy, and in the rare occasions where his divinations prove inaccurate, he employs secretive chronomantic skills to go back in time and ‘nudge’ events in the right direction.*

Orikan is just one of the characters set to appear in the next narrative supplement, Crusade: Pariah Nexus. This becalmed region of space has already been the site of one grand campaign so far, and the Silent King is redoubling his efforts as the Indomitus Crusade pushes legions of Guardsmen, Battle Sisters, and Space Marines into its disquieting depths.

World Championships Preview – Asmodai Demands to Know Which Codexes are Coming Next

 

 

Of all of the horrible fates that await the enemies of the Dark Angels, being taken alive is undisputedly the worst, as it can only mean that a meeting with an Interrogator-Chaplain is on the cards. 

Even then, one name above all strikes terror into the hearts of the most resilient Fallen – Asmodai, the Master of Repentance.

And with the Primarch returned and his Chapter resurgent, Asmodai is ready to put his sinister skills to the test with an awesome new miniature.

As the Dark Angels’ Master of Repentance, it’s Asmodai’s job to secure confessions from those Fallen who are far beyond the redemption offered by Lion El’Jonson, and he performs the job with unsurpassed zeal. Wielding the sword Catechist and the crozius Censure, he hits the battlefield like a force of nature, rousing his comrades’ fighting spirit with bellows of pure hatred while seeking out enemy leaders for a not-so-friendly chat.

He even has a few kit options. He has a choice of heads – hooded and with a halo, and two backpacks – one pouring out clouds of enigmatic smoke. 

Asmodai is set to arrive with the upcoming Codex: Dark Angels – first revealed on our previous Warhammer 40,000 roadmap – and now that we’ve got a few codexes under our belt, it’s time to update the schedule. Legions Imperialis – The Legiones Astartes

The Legiones Astartes are indisputably the most famous of the forces fighting in the Age of Darkness, at the centre of every pivotal event and important battle. To field an army of Space Marines in Legions Imperialis is to choose the path of the Emperor himself – or the arch-traitor Horus, should the flames of rebellion smoulder within your foul hearts.

Build the core of a flexible Space Marine army with the Legiones Astartes Infantry set, collecting eight squads of Tactical Legionaries, four Contemptor Dreadnoughts, and an assortment of supporting troops into one convenient package.*

Every element of a classic Space Marine infantry force is here – Terminators, Support gunners, and Assault Squads – and with two Legion Command Squads to lead them, the only way you could make a better start on your Legiones Astartes army would be to get two.

Space Marines are formidable soldiers indeed, but you need more than just massed infantry to carry the day. That’s where the Kratos Heavy Tank Squadron comes in. You get four in a box, each tank bristling with sponson and hull guns, and with a choice of a Kratos battlecannon or melta blastgun for the turret.* 

With such large battlefields to fight over, transporting your troops around is a must, and nothing does it better than the Rhino. A pack of 10 plastic Rhinos gives you a massive tactical advantage over a foot-slogging foe, and they’ll get to their destination safe and sound when flanked by four powerful Kratos tanks – so detailed, they could be mistaken for their full-size counterparts.*

Aircraft are a potent force in the skies of the 31st Millennium, and the iconic Thunderhawk Gunship is back from Aeronautica Imperialis to its new home in Legions Imperialis, giving this excellent kit a new lease on life. They come with new bases for the new game, but you’ll still be able to use them in games of Aeronautica Imperialis – which will still be supported as a game set in the Age of Darkness.*

Legions Imperialis – The Solar Auxilia

The Horus Heresy might have starred the Legiones Astartes, but they weren’t the only elite forces fighting in the conflict. The Solar Auxilia are humanity’s finest mortal warriors, and their armies could go toe-to-toe with even Space Marines through ironclad discipline, relentless firepower, and overwhelming numbers – if not mano-a-mano combat.

The Solar Auxilia Infantry set starts your army off with a wide assortment of critical units, including lasrifle or flamer-toting Auxilia, Charonite Ogryns, Aethon Heavy Sentinels, and veteran axe-wielding Veletarii. Each box is led by an Auxilia Commander and their Tactical Command section, and just one or two sets forms a dependable core for your epic scale Solar Auxilia army.*

It wouldn’t be an Imperial army without tons of tanks rumbling along, and Baneblades are just about the most iconic vehicles in the Solar Auxilia motor pool. This pack of two super-heavy tanks comes with a choice of Baneblade cannon or Hellhammer cannon for each. In addition to different main guns, each has three possible tank commanders and three different sponson options. You can field them in Detachments of up to six vehicles.*

A range of Imperial Navy support assets return from Aeronautica Imperialis, including favourites like the Lightning Fighter, Marauder Bomber, and Marauder Destroyer. Forge World resin aircraft also make their way back to shelves, giving Imperial commanders access to the powerful Marauder Colossus and scanning Marauder Pathfinder, as well as the much-loved Arvus Lighters.*

Knight Households and Titan Legions are available to support armies from both the Legiones Astartes and the Solar Auxilia, and loads of beautifully detailed Imperial Knights and Titans from Adeptus Titanicus are back in action. That means Questoris Knights, Cerastus Knight Lancers, Reaver Titans, and Warlord Titans are at your disposal – plus some special guests from the Forge World range.*

The (relatively) diminutive Knight Armigers return in Forge World resin as Warglaives and Helverins, joining specialised chassis from the Mechanicum – Knights Styrix, Moriax, Magaera, Atrapos, and Asterius – carrying esoteric weapons straight from the forges of Mars. If you prefer your war machines a bit more cerebral, the Warlord-Sinister Psi Titan is a true terror that should not be missed – rarely seen even in the Age of Darkness, and always leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.*

Legions Imperialis – Terrain & Accessories

Tanks, Titans, and teeming troopers will need something to fight over, and Legions Imperialis has plenty of terrain to make your battles truly cinematic.

The Horus Heresy left many cities as little more than bombed-out shells and networks of ruined roads, so why not build a beautiful battlefield of your own with new Civitas Imperialis City Road Tiles and Ruins sets? Both are modular and designed to work alongside other Civitas Imperialis sets, turning your games of Legions Imperialis from rough scuffles on bare tables to exciting war stories set amidst thematic, immersive environments.*

Want to get loads of terrain in one convenient box? The Administratum Sector collects a variety of modular Adeptus Titanicus terrain kits, which will return in due course as part of the Legions Imperialis range. You’ll find four Civitas Imperialis building sets and one pack of Civitas Imperialis Spires – for you to build up a densely populated cityscape.*

Keep your army stats close at hand with packs of handy reference cards for the Legiones Astartes and Solar Auxilia. Each contains two copies of every Detachment and Formation available to their faction, so you can build armies in double-time and look up your rules whenever the action heats up.*

Many of the miniatures found in Adeptus Titanicus and Aeronautica Imperialis can find new homes in Legions Imperialis, so to match the new road tiles and urban terrain, new bases are on their way. Engraved with an urban tile pattern, these range from 40mm round bases right up to huge 120mm oval bases for the largest Titans.*

Fulgrim Transfigured

Those Traitor Primarchs who gave themselves fully over to the Ruinous Powers swelled and changed with the malevolent power of the warp. Fulgrim’s metamorphosis is dramatic indeed – a serpentine daemonform with vast wings and additional arms. A deadly duellist before this transfiguration, Fulgrim is closer to perfection than ever, but still seeks to attain even greater glory in one-to-one combat.

Things are not going well for the Imperial House. Haera Helmawr has claimed the throne, but her planet is in flames, and Lady Credo’s revolution is gathering momentum. Ozostium Aranthus has awoken… but to what end?

The concluding volume of the Aranthian Succession is unmissable for every Necromunda fan; it has 45 pages of incredible background lore developing the setting-changing storyline, and introducing new characters such as Asun’ghar – also known as the Lady of Ash – Orrin Grimjarl, the Last Charter Lord of Jardlan, and his brother Urson Grimjarl, the Jardlan Nomad Hunter, as well as Silberlant Sevos, the Infotek.

Van Saar Ash Wastes Arachni-rig

A wasteland variant of the Van Saar Arachni-rig, the Ash Wastes Arachni-rig combines high-speed brutality with an array of deadly weapons. It is fitted with jump boosters to effortlessly traverse Necromunda’s rad-soaked plains, and packs a myriad of weapons ranging from destructive plasma guns that melt through infantry or harpoon launchers to better snag loot in the ash wastes, meaning it’s prepared for any foe.

Space Wolves Legion Praetor

Praetors of the Space Wolves Legion are some of the brawniest fighters in the galaxy, and as befits their station they march to war in highly ornamented battle plate. This resin Praetor also mounts the pelt of a Fenrisian wolf – that he no doubt slew himself – on his shoulder, and carries a heavy Fenrisian axe whose AP2 strikes will have no trouble slicing through Terminator armour.
